My mom has been at Heritage Woods of McHenry for three years and I am extremely grateful for the staff who are all so kind and caring. Because of COVID restrictions and not being able to personally visit her, they have each done all the heavy lifting these past 11 months; from providing emotional support and laughter, celebrations, healthcare, and help with things she needed in her apartment all with a genuine spirit of compassion and kindness. Mom recently spent a few weeks in a rehab facility and the level of care was strikingly diminished. Thank you Heritage for who each of you are and the great work you are doing! more ... hide ...

Horrible. If I didnt have a lease, I would have moved out by now. I have had bed bug bites for FOUR months. I have gone to my primary care doctor and my dermatologist - both CONFIRMED - I am allergic to these bites. The selected vendor is Hansen Pest control that already came out and did an awful job because guess what! The bed bugs never went away. I have bites ALL over my body, including my face. The office refuses to utilize anyone else for this service. My home is always tidy and the hired pest control company had the nerve to state in a report to the apartment complex that not everything was vacuumed, items still in dresser, etc etc. Everything was put away in a plastic bag. Everything was vacuumed. While I acknowledge bed bugs are hard to get rid off, the apartment complex should utilize a better pest control. I even went as far as to replace the mattress, threw away all of the bedding, washed all my clothes.. I simply cannot tolerate their lack of compassion for their tenants. I am sure they wouldnt want to sleep in bed bug infested rooms. more ... hide ...

My 5 star is for the customer service, the management staff seem very professional and courtesy on 04 May. Unfortunately I wasnt able to see the actually unit, the Manager explain the unit was exactly the same as the mod el unit.I was somewhat disappointed that the unit for a one bedroom has very limited storage space regarding kitchen storage. Three cabinet above the refrigerator and 3 above the sink, the space under the sink not usable for me for storage other than kitchen supplies.But I will manage once I move in.I have spoken with past resident and present and they all state when you choose to move in a family type complex quite is not always possible.Again this is Not a badger against management but a kudos for there outstanding service in making me feel comfortable.I am mature disabled grandmother. more ... hide ...
