*BEWARE* Seniors or those who qualify for Sec 42. I applied for these apts a few years back and thought they were nice however, my application fell through the cracks...fast forward I applied recently and let me say I wa s excited to be approved and call this place home. I didnt get to see the unit I was approved for since it wasnt ready and that didnt bother me so much because I based everything on my past experience. WRONG! The unit I was given was disgusting and I do mean dirty even the toilet had crud in it and I asked the manager why would you show a unit in this shape. Her response was that it was rent ready. The carpet had been cleaned but there was visible wear in two areas particularly. They had the cleaners come back out and they stated it was nothing they could do and per management it would not be replaced. I had one day to be out my previous apt and no options but to clean, clean, clean. Needless to say I am upset, depressed and just angry. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.Update:Three managers here at Lafayette Landing in less than 2 yrs. Called to speak w/current manager about my rent payment not posting to my account and was hung up on. She is very combative and confrontational and will not let you speak or get a word in edgewise very unprofessional 2/2/2022. more ... hide ...

Ive been living here since 2015. Things were great before we underwent new management. The maintenance does NOT fix anything. Theyre figuring out ways to charge you for everything. I was told if we do not remove the AC from our windows or cover them, thats another fee added to your account. With all the new tenants moving in, the building is getting ran down. There is ALWAYS trash in the halls. The ONE and ONLY elevator ALWAYS either has trash in it or has something spilled in it. One day someone had dropped an entire birthday cake(one of the long ones) in front of the elevator. Cake and icing was all on the walls. You couldnt get on the elevator without stepping in it. That was there for about 3/4 days. People are always propping the entrance door open so any one can enter the building at anytime of the night. I had an incident where someones child was leaving love letters by my door for my child EVERY DAY. I literally had about 12 letters saved before I took them to the landlord. And nothing. This same child already had complaints from other neighbors saying he was running up and down the halls and knocking on ppl doors and running off. And nothing. The washers and dryers downstairs are ALWAYS broken. NEVER any parking. Theyre always shutting the water off for something. It was so peaceful a few years back. Although the new landlord is very nice and polite, Ive just had it. Recommended to younger ppl, maybe someone without kids and just trying to get on their feet. more ... hide ...
