Plz plz plz read. I was a prospective tenant that was about to move in but never happened. Ive always thought Douglas pointe had nice apartments. However after reading all the previous reviews I addressed to the manageme nt office with a lady named Terah. She indicated that the bad reviews were from disgruntled tenants. So against my better judgment I went ahead and applied and Subsequently turned in my deposit and app fee to Terah and received receipts. Two weeks later Terah calls and leaves a vm and says shes waiting on me to turn in my deposit and app fees. The next day she called again and I answered and she asked again for the same deposits. I replied to her and said, you dont remember me giving you my deposits etc in person? She then says to me Im sorry I got so many applications I must have gotten them mixed up but I dont see that you gave me anything. I said Terah you gave me two receipts. Can you check your receipt book? Sure enough she sees where I paid and apologized. So I let that slide but that showed me that she and the management office is not organized. Another two weeks go by and she calls me again and says hey, we have you scheduled to move in next Friday (this particular day was the previous Friday) she also adds are you still moving in on that date? I said hell I didnt even know I was moving in you never gave me a date until now. She then says we were waiting on corporate to get back with us regarding your background and they just gave us the ok. I said background!!???? What the hell on my background? She said the weapons charge. I said weapons charge!!!?? Terah Ive never had so much as a speeding ticket in my life¦you know what its ok just cancel my application Im good. This is very unprofessional I dont know whose information youve swapped with mine but that aint me. She says with an attitude ok ok bye you have a nice day.So yeaaaaaaa be very careful with this property. All the negative reviews ARE REAL! AS IS THIS ONE. I would not have spent 30min of my day typing this if I were lying. Hope this helps someone. more ... hide ...
