CFC leased my handicapped fathers apartment to someone else without giving him the proper chance to renew his lease. They promised \"first dibs\" on renewal, but they never explained when he needed to renew. They lied ab out his willingness to renew. They tried to show his apartment without ever asking if he wanted to renew. I asked they not show it due to his disabilities. Most everything after that is in email proof below.Scummy management at CFC. When living there or signing there, make sure you get everything clearly explained and demand deadlines. Email proof is below.February 10, 2016\"Hello Josh,[Redacted] forwarded me your email regarding showing your fathers apartment. First of all, does he plan on renewing the lease? If so, we can go ahead and take care of the paperwork so we can get the apartment off of our availability. If hes not planning on renewing, if a prospective resident is interested in looking at the actual apartment there will be a time we will need to show the apartment. We like to give a day notice that we will be showing the apartment. Your fathers apartment is the last apartment available in August with [redacted b/c description], so more than likely if he doesnt renew the lease, we will need to show the apartment.Please let me know if you have any questions.\"February 10, 2016\"Hey There,I guess I didnt expect apartment showings would be occurring 6 months out from a lease [1.5 months after my father moved in, it was a sublease]. As of now, we arent in a position to commit to the apartment and wont be until we know more about his Section 8 applications. I also thought there would be other apartments and/or models available to show.If CFC truly wants or needs to use his apartment for [redacted b/c description] viewings, then so be it. He has to schedule with his Help at Home assistants one week ahead of time in order to have a ride. To my knowledge, he will not have anything scheduled for tomorrow and in turn wont have a way to leave. You stated at that time, that you couldnt confirm that he would be staying in the apartment another year [couldnt confirm is not the same as NOT renewing. CFC didnt explain we HAD to renew then to retain the apartment]. Im sorry; the apartment has already been leased.
