This review comes 10 plus years later after residing in Asbury Park from 2006-2008. Mrs. Ann Howell aka ANN BROWN is a horror to deal with. I was a law abiding citizen and a resident who worked and was going to school tr ying to provide for my kid. I was warned about going to Asbury Park, but I needed my own until I could do better. I never had any major issues apartment wise. I knew how to take care of my apartment so maintenance having to come out was minimal. Her husband was the \"so called\" maintenance who do less tending the apartments and more hiding in the females apartments. When I lived here, most residents were treated like second class citizens. Ann Howell knew everything about what was going on in your apartment even if you think she didnt know it. Ann would walk in your apartment without knocking and next thing you know she standing near your door, near your bedroom. The unemployed ghetto females who reside here sit in Anns office for hours telling other tenants business, who they are sleeping with, if they got a new car, if they are selling drugs or if their boyfriend was there without being on a lease. When I would go to pay my rent, Ann would try to butter me up telling me that I was classy unlike some of the other tenants. But she also would cause drama between me and my then neighbor. Ann had a night manager who at the time was a sheriff or deputy(idk, some type of law enforcement). This man only slept with the girls and gave them money. After all the drama I went through with the girls out there making living there hell, thanks to Ann Howell. I did go and write the head office about her and how she ran the apartment complex. Of course, Ann knew it was me due to the fact the letter of complaint was well typed and she knew only I was capable. Long story short, Ann and my former neighbor set me up. This girl was playing her music very loud, so loud that the noise resonated all through my house and likely to that of my neighbor on the other side. This was on a Friday in Aug. 2008, on that following Monday, Ann Howell handed me an eviction notice for noise complaint. The idiot whom she got to set me up, was handed one too, even though she thought that she and Mrs. Howell were buddies. I didnt say a word, I took the eviction and I was out of there in less than 2 weeks. Mrs. Howell will never have any luck in life. If you move here, make sure that you do not befriend the hoodrats, they will make your life hell. So what if they call you stuck up. Everybody and their mama has lived in and been kicked out of Asbury Park. Thankfully, that eviction did not cause me to not be able to rent anywhere else. I was in Pender Square that following June 2009. This is my rant, I hope Ann rots. more ...
