This place has a thief problem. Make sure you lock car doors at night because people try door handles. Also make sure you always track your packages because they will leave them outside and someone comes along and takes it. Also not too long ago some old ladys apartment was broken into. The management does nothing to help you. They say its your problem. They are more worried about you standing 6 feet back then trying to help you get your stolen package. more ... hide ...

Now 71 yrs old, I entered CA for the first time in early 2018 at the tender age of 66...older but young at heart & with the goal of becoming a peer support specialist. I attended the facility at 4001 Leavenworth Avenue. I became familiar with many consumers, staff members, mid to upper management, and programs, as I attended the out-patient Day Rehabilitation Program.I am highly functional & trained in the sciences & mental illness recovery. I have a case of complex-PTSD as well as depression & anxiety...quite often well managed, but still lingering & with occassional relapses. My doctors allow me to fully participate & monitor my mental health recovery. So I feel very fortunate to have great doctors & a fabulous therapist, not connected to CA.CA impressed me with a great schedule of classes which are often more like group therapy or discussion & I loved that! Field trips, learning opportunities, and emotional support were great; along with various special events, like the Talent Show & Breaking The Silence speaker presentations. And the holiday festivities were very much fun. Many kudos for the Day Rehab Program!!HOWEVERMy dearest Hopes for CA, based on my knowledge & experience with them for about two years, are the following:¢ IMPROVED Trauma-Informed Care on all levels within CA.¢ Stronger training & regular in-services about sensitivity, techniques of facilitation & related topics.¢ Firmer standards with staff & consumers in HPPA Confidentiality & Ethics.¢ Expanded fine arts classes/projects in Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Writing & Poetry. With outreach projects for in-service at other agencies & community-wide mental-health advocacy. For example: A mobile Theater/Comedy Troupe (consumers & staff/volunteers) to perform skits about gaslighting & other topics.¢ Expanded Well-Being SPACE & DEDICATION applying physical fitness & mindfullness techniques for a more solid learned conscious-ness of our mind-bodyconnection.Thank you, CA & staff. Keep moving forward & if I ever need to, I would seek treatment at CA again.SusiKay more ... hide ...
