I lived here for 3 years.Pros:-Building 1 has assigned parking-Building 1 has full laundry room-Easy trash disposal-Apartments are spacious/have more open concept-Close to NYC public transport-Front desk accepts deliver iesCons:-Assigned parking is sometimes taken by visitors and no one can do anything about it (security will tell you to call tow on your $)-Ceilings will leak every summer due to condensation. If it is not dry, you will not have a painted ceiling for at least a month (Actually, the last time the ceiling leaked in September, they didnt come to paint it until May)-They are constantly shutting off the water without notice, so if you work from home or work an \"off\" schedule, you cant use the bathroom or drink water until they turn it back on at 5pm, and even then the water will run brown for half an hour before you can use-They advertise that rent has everything included, but they recently rolled out new AC/Heat Units that are uncontrollable and you have to pay for (I needed to have the windows open during the summer to keep the apartment at a temperature that wasnt freezing. The unit did not work and could not be scheduled)-They advertise building security - \"you need to use a code to get inside\" - this is FALSE. I had many times where people would be sent up without me knowing they were there, strangers actually open the door to my apartment thinking it was someone elses, etc. Front desk does not stop them and will give out your name to anyone who inquires.-They advertise no pets allowed, yet everyone, including the supervisor, has a dog. Pets are fine with me, but there are some people who neglect their pets, leaving them barking for hours on end while theyre not home. Also, pets pee in the elevator and no one cleans up after them.-Maintenance loves to just show up at your door without notice and ask if they can do certain things. Sometimes ok, but many times, even a phone call would be nice so that youre not pounding (literally) on my door at 9am.-Bathrooms are extremely outdated - many have never been updated. Mine was pink - meaning pink tiles, toothbrush holders, etc. everywhere. Not sure where the $5m renovation that theyve been advertising for 5 years went, but it surely wasnt the bathrooms-Kitchens are also extremely outdated - they put sticky tiles as the flooring, and the design starts to peel after a few months and the tiles themselves start to separate and lift. Would be nice if updated floors and countertops at a minimum.-Ventilation does not exist. Building 1 does not have any vents over the stove or any in the bathroom. There is a whole in the wall that is supposed to suck air, but it is filled with so much crusty dust that no airflow comes from there. This causes ceiling peeling and constant mold/mildew. I used to call them every 2 months to repaint my bathroom, and finally they got approval to paint my bathroom with resistant paint. Mind you, I showered with the door open to not trap steam, and more ... hide ...
