If I could give this place less than one star, I would. Starting off, the apartments were built in the 1970s, and stepping inside of them is like stepping inside of a time capsule. The carpets are all Original or Haven t been replaced in a decade or more. The buildings reek of mold, weed, cigarettes, and are never cleaned by the management company. Most of the appliances dont work or are on their way out. Theres very apparently mold under the carpets (a $7 test at Home Depot showed me that), when I complained to the previous manager, Gloria, I was told someone would be in to Pull the carpets and clean them. Never happened. The walls are starting to cave in on the third floor of my building as the frame around the door is cracked and the ceiling has cracks that are creeping to the center of the apartment.Most of the people who live here are very sweet people, with the exception of one person in building 100 who repeatedly opened my laundry while it was unattended, and stole my girlfriends underwear from the washing machine. Was never able to catch them, and this complaint was brushed off by management.Finally got out of this hole on August 1st and then this happened. Moved into Wadsworth Manor apartments owned (at the time) by Ashley Realty Company in January of 2019. Fulfilled lease of 1 year until January of 2020, in January was left a hand written note by new management company (Bremco Realestate) that my rent was going up $30 because my lease was up and M2M. In June of 2020 I found out I was moving and left Debbie, apartment manager, a note at her door with my intentions to move August 1st. Debbie did not reciprocate my note. 45 days from August 1st I both called an Emailed Bremco Realestate Management company with my intentions to move out August 1st. Again, my calls and emails were not reciprocated. I called once a week, every week from mid June until August 1st looking for acknowledgement that I was moving. There was zero. August 1st comes and still no response, until they contacted me where to leave my keys. Now, August 17th I received a letter from Bremco including a check for HALF of my security deposit (total was $1140) with the note stating that I violated and broke my contract, therefore they were keeping $570 of my security deposit. There had been no contact about any of the repairs that needed done on the apartment prior to my moving out, there was no notice given by landlord about me still being in lease, and there has been no contact after the situation.Literally anywhere you could move would be better than this absolute abomination.
