These people are hilarious. One of the reviews above (The Simon Companies) is from the owners of Bullocks Point \"Townhomes\" aka Bullocks Point Village! They gave themselves a 5 star rating and posted a fake review. Tha t alone should tell you everything you need to know. Some apartments are newer due to a fire over 10 years ago. Most apartments are in the same condition they were in in the 70s and have been neglected for years. When they say your apartment has been \"renovated\", what they mean is they put in a cheap bathroom sink, new kitchen cabinets and fake wood floors that cover old asbestos tiles that they never took out (they are still there!). The maintenance men are lazy and it takes forever for them to fix anything and they make you feel like a jerk for asking. While the ladies in the office are nice, they are just glorified secretaries. The real guy in charge, Warren, is an egomaniacal control freak. Recently, the owners decided to throw out the residents belongings in the backyards that the residents pay an obscene amount of rent for to use (grills, bikes, childrens toys, basketballs, plants, solar lights, patio/garden bricks/rocks, etc.). They make you put stickers on any item you keep outside in your yard or they will throw it out...and they dont give many stickers. You will be lucky to get 4 or 5 stickers. If you or your kid has a bike that you keep outside, you have to put their sticker on it like they own you and the bike. They also say \"ample parking\", but you will only have parking for 1 car even if you rent a 3 bedroom...unless you pay more money to use a separate \"VIP\" parking lot on the premises. Your car will also need a sticker that you can only get after you show the office your registration and insurance info and if your car doesnt have a sticker, they will have you towed. Dumpsters are few and far between. If you are elderly or disabled, make sure you are near a dumpster or you will have to take a hike to toss out your garbage. Bike racks are also few and far between and are kept in low visability areas that make it difficult to keep an eye on. Bike racks arent cemented in, so even if you lock up your bikes...nothing stops someone from taking bikes with the rack attached. They are also trying to outlaw smoking on the premises altogether...not just in your apartment...so if you are a smoker, good luck. They advertise that they have decks and patios, but they have neither. They have a fake patio on the buildings that you will have no access to and that you are not permitted to use. The screens in your windows are unable to be moved up or down and are a fire hazard to young children, people with disabilities and the elderly. You will have to dropkick them if you wish to get out of your burning house. That being said, the residents are great and it is a good place for a family. There are baseball fields and a basketball court adjacent to the property and a playground that is less than a 5 minute walk away. Most residents are courteous and most children are well behaved. It is very quiet most of the time (except for the landscapers). more ... hide ...
