Response to owner below original review :Never got a call back in spite of leaving several messages on the phone, online, and through realtor sites. Im trying to move back to Laredo so I couldnt make an in person office visit. Unfortunately I had to keep calling at different times of day hoping someone answered. When I finally DID get an answer the lady, Mary, was informative but curt. She told me the advertised apartments are unavailable, and they have a 1 to 1-1/2 year waiting list, even though the available apartments are advertised both online at their own La Terraza website and through various realtor sites as \"available\" to the general public. Mary also told me that this is a low income complex and one must be qualified to even be put on the waiting list. So if youre looking for an apartment, not a waiting list, I suggest you look at other places. Im sure Mary is a very busy lady; so, Ive just helped her do her job and you wont have to wait for anyone to actually answer the phone and tell you this exact same thing.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_Response to owners reaction post :I did contact you \"correctly\" after MANY attempts through multiple medias. LONG REVIEW BUT PLEASE READBeen here since February. The apartment itself is okay. Good for a first time renter. Area is quiet. Parking lot floods during heavy rain. One side of the gate is always broken. But to me those things are manageableThe management that was here when I moved in was Rachel and another girl. They were really nice. Things would get done in a timely manner and phones would be answered. Then we got new management.During the month of April I went to the office 4-5 times to ask for pest control that I pay for every month. At first the front desk tried to tell me that my place had already been sprayed and said I was lying until I told him that I had cameras in my apartment. He said he would get someone in right away¦ its July and no one has come. I had to do it myself. Next a part of my sink broke off and I put in a work order to get it fixed¦ that was 2 weeks ago and I havent heard a thing.My rent has gone up about $20 each month with random fees as well. The apartment portal is low budget and doesnt show the fees once rent has been paid.I would recommend moving somewhere else if you are able to. Visitor Parking is extremely limited next to almost nothing more than maybe 10 designated visitor parking spaces which due to the area in effect being very high risk to both criminal activities & criminals & low income t o poverty bracket as well as highly trafficked central area of Austin City good luck if one actually is able to get one of the limited parking spaces designated to the visitors of the residents in this apartment complex. & be sure to be aware of your surroundings as well as being sure to lock up your belongings or vehicle & to also try & avoid visits after dark due to loitering by very shady & brave individuals who might also be dangerous or solicit either for money or try to solicit sale of drugs. & do not park in any other parking spaces if just a visitor & not a resident with a parking permit or sticker present & visible on your vehicle because all nonresident non-permitted visitors will have their vehicle towed if ignored. Also designated parking for visitors will require a good walk to anyone of the apartments being visited so at night having a companion or being on guard & even mace handy may be a good idea. It is definitely not resonating any actual comfort or feelings of being remotely safe & is not a gated password coded protected complex & if unable to find visitor parking the next closest parking available is up front at the entrance way which is even more potentially dangerous especially at night due to being not well lit & secluded from ones visibility almost all together & a much longer distance from any apartment of any resident one might be there to visit. more ... hide ...

As of 7/1/2022 New owners are not renewing HUD lease and treat the current residents like trash. Basically, making it hard for them to live there so no one renews their lease! new owners could care less if elderly fall o r wheel chair bound residents have less access to things now. DO NOT allow your loved ones to move into this property. The owners of this property are aware of all the issues with neglected maintenance, elevators breaking down for weeks at a time, five or six different AC units going bad during hundred degree weeks, The front office is only staffed 50% of the time, most of the time youre speaking to the answering serviceThe front office is only staffed 50% of the time, most of the time youre speaking to the answering service.
