On the day I moved in here, in my almost empty apartment I said to myself out loud \"Im going to renew my lease\", and here we are almost a year later and that instinct was dead on. I will be renewing my lease for a few different reasons. The first reason is maintenance, these gentlemen are on it! I recently put in several maintenance requests all at the same time, of varying degree, and Daniel and Jacinto took care of everything in one day. The maintenance staff is efficient and respectful, and I never worry about my pets being in the apartment when work is being done. Some reviews have mentioned roaches, but I really havent seen many pests in my unit (I am on the ground flood) so that hasnt been an issue for me, thankfully! There ARE issues with the plumbing and drain pipes, but some peoples reviews seem exaggerated. In the 10 months I have been here, water has been shut off maybe 8 times. Some of that has been very limited, we were without water for a few hours, and some of that has been extended (we were once without hot water for 3 days). My understanding is that this complex runs off of a boiler system, which requires plumbers, NOT MAINTENANCE to fix. I work outdoors, around plants and soil, so I need access to a shower every day. It has caused very minimal inconvenience for me, but I can understand how some people may have issue with it.The units themselves are in good condition, and you get what you pay for with an apartment. The appliances are in good working condition, and the washer and dryer hook ups are a NECESSITY for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the shower is tiled, with actual ceramic tiling, instead of those filthy fiberglass tub surrounds. I do have negative comments about the vinyl flooring in my unit. Whoever installed it left a lot of gaps around every plank, to the extent that I just cant seem to keep the floors clean (I have cats so...litter). Ive done a lot of home repair/remodel work and I find this particular work done to be quite subpar. Its a rental, the vinyl is chap, I get it. It just wouldnt be my preference. I find myself very comfortable at this complex, am always seeing people walking their dogs and everyone here has been super friendly. They seem to keep up really well with the dumpsters filling up, and the landscapers are here often so the complex is well kept, and honestly is gorgeous. The whole complex is surrounded with trees, so it brings about this sense of community here. The assistant manager of the complex, Yevette has been AMAZING. She is friendly, and thorough, and seems to genuinely want to help fix whatever issues you are having. I never understood why the ratings for this complex were under a 4.5. Im very comfortable here, find the rent affordable, and appreciate that the front gate is almost always in working order, which honestly is a huge bonus for me with security. Ive never felt unsafe here, and at the end of the day, isnt that the kind of place that everyone wants to go home to? A safe, comfortable, community-oriented apartment complex. more ...
