Id like to give my opinion in as much of a professional manner as possible as a contractor just recently released from working at Parkside Apartments. Ive been an observer to vicious daily tirades about homeless, impover ished, and disadvantaged people by the management.Ive been told to dismiss work orders to correct apartment issues impacting the quality of life of the residents, some quite serious.The people of color working there have no recourse when they have been attacked by certain management using racial slurs. Was verbally assaulted while picking up my things on my last day, by being let go, a day after a maintenance person confided in me he was being racially victimized by the management, and they refused to discipline the person.Id told him to contact Department of Labor, with his income seek a lawyer. Im fairly certain I was overheard and seen as a conspirator and was let go due to this, even though I did nothing except respond to him about it.Thanks to this company, Im now without a formal job and may not be able to locate an apartment due to income, which Ive been struggling to find due to a divorce settlement. I very much hope the aggressors are investigated, and their employment discontinued as a result of this.This is a low-income, subsidized community, and it deserves a better, more caring team suited towards the residents needs. more ... hide ...

WOW!!! The customer service at Oak Trace apartments, specifically from the older woman named Natalie, who said shes the manager (hard to believe) was severly lacking. She was extremely rude and dismissive and I was only inquiring about the property and possibly renting in the near future. When I first walked into the office, there was no Hello, there was only, HOW CAN I HELP YOU? WHATS YOUR INCOME? Just because this dwelling is Housing, does not mean that people who are trying to rent there, are lesser than and should be treated or talked to in a demeaning manner. Who is This so called \"manager\" and what are HER credentials? I will be reporting her and hopefully she will be able to further her customer service training to better serve future potential renters. And also, their website is deceiving. I set up an appointment to view a unit at a specific day and time but this Natalie called me to say that she was returning my call (I called over a week ago) and when I told her that I had already made an appointment to come in the day of, she said \"were full\" and she wouldnt be able to show me any model units. So I made and took valuable time out of my busy day, to make an appointment to view a unit on a property only to be told it was a mistake because they apparently dont know how to adequately operate their online site? UNPROFESSIONAL and UNACCEPTABLE!!. I understand why they only have a 2.5 review rating... A property is only as good as its manager!!! more ... hide ...

I lived here for one really long year. It was a year I will never forget. I had to deal with drugs being sold in the parking lot and people running from the police. I hesitated every time my kids wanted to play outside. The appliances in the home always stopped working, there were many nights I was not able to cook dinner for my family due to the stovetop or oven door breaking. I would put in multiple work orders and when they came to look at it, they would say nothing is wrong with it. To top off this horrible year I had to go through due to financial stipulations, They refused to return my deposit saying I left the apartment a mess which was quite opposite. I moved out 15 days before I was supposed to and had plenty of time to clean, I returned the keys to the manager and she told me that apartment looked great. This is a horrible company to rent through and I would strong suggest finding somewhere else to live. more ... hide ...
