Contractors take advantage of the circumstances with quick-fix solutions that guarantee future business. I have been living here for six years, paying rent on time and keeping my place clean, yet I was rewarded with a filthy neighbor who was a breeding ground for roaches. The management did nothing for eighteen months. They offered the excuse that it takes time to evict someone, but the exterminator they hired was ineffective and only kept getting paid. HUD inspections are simply perfunctory, which allows the landlord to maintain the slum-like conditions. The building is run like it's a prison and management doesn't hold up its end of the lease. For the past twenty-two years, they have only hired female property managers, which I can only assume is gender discrimination. Poor or no background checks have allowed criminals to gain residency. There has been a new manager since fall of 2016, but the changes have been minimal. I have over one-hundred photos of filth, water damage, black mold, and dead cockroaches in the hallways. My apartment is nice, though, as I make sure to keep it that way. Unfortunately, many of the tenants are dirty and behave like young delinquents. I just stay in my apartment to get away from the mess. I would suggest finding a different place to live.more ...hide ...

This has led to a lot of residents being dirty and having to deal with pests. Management has shown little concern for the past year and a half, and HUD has only done a superficial inspection when they come to visit. I would advise looking for a different place to live because this one is not worth it.more ...hide ...
