I went to visit my father last week. I was taken back by the living conditions this apartment establishment finds acceptable. They have no maintenance service to my understanding and no pest control. The rent is raised without any clear explanation to the point that it becomes unaffordable for the residents. The onsite manager refuses to address the issue and instead redirects them to the main management company. This is a retirement community and the residents deserve to feel secure and be taken care of by a responsible management. The founder of this community was a compassionate minister with a vision of providing excellent care for the inhabitants, and if he were aware of the current state of affairs, he would likely take action. Residents must come together and file petitions to have their voices heard regarding even minor issues such as fixing the water heater or designating a specific area for their pets to go to the bathroom. Monthly rent is also charged for the size of the pet. It is this author's opinion that a manager of a place like this should treat the residents with kindness and not close off their inquiries with a response of "management has decided". These people are parents and grandparents and therefore deserve respect.more ...hide ...
