The rent is raised without any clear explanation to the point that it becomes unaffordable for the residents. This is a retirement community and the residents deserve to feel secure and be taken care of by a responsible management. The founder of this community was a compassionate minister with a vision of providing excellent care for the inhabitants, and if he were aware of the current state of affairs, he would likely take action. Residents must come together and file petitions to have their voices heard regarding even minor issues such as fixing the water heater or designating a specific area for their pets to go to the bathroom. Monthly rent is also charged for the size of the pet. It is this author's opinion that a manager of a place like this should treat the residents with kindness and not close off their inquiries with a response of "management has decided".
