I read some of the reviews but I also talked to people who live here. Online reviews are one side of a story and people (shocker) dont always tell the truth when theyre mad things didnt go their way.Let me start this off by saying that the paperwork can be complicated to fill out. This is housing that fills a much needed gap for those whos income falls higher than poverty level but not high enough to obtain housing in a more expensive apartment complex. Understand there is some bureaucracy that must be served. Also understand that the staff do not set these rules. That being said, the staff at Park Village were utterly and unequivocally phenomenal. I dealt with Sonia almost exclusively during the application process and she is hands down one of the most patient and wonderful people I have ever met. She literally went line for line down the paperwork to explain, understanding that its complicated to complete, and helped me get everything filled out just so. As I mentioned before; you have to understand these are not HER rules. These are the rules that have been set forth by the management company. Bless her, I probably drove her crazy having to fill stuff out sometimes three times and resubmit paperwork because I didnt do it correctly. As to the property; due to my job I go into a lot of different complexes and see a lot of different types of houses and apartments. Park Village is not brand new, but it is clean and safe. They do their best to make sure its kept that way, too. The grounds were kept clean and free of trash. None of the dumpsters had trash around it like Ive seen at even some of the more expensive complexes. I can tell that the staff take pride in their grounds. When we had a couple of small issues during the walk-through, she and her supervisor immediately (and profusely) apologized and took responsibility for it (even though, in my opinion, it wasnt their fault). Before we even got the door closed the maintenance person was there to deal with it and make it right.Ill close out my review by mentioning one of the big things I noticed: a LOT of kids were outside playing. That says something to me. That says parents are okay letting their kids play outside because they know theyre safe. Even though my parents are older and dont have any children, it made me feel safer knowing theyre there.I know that this sounds like one of those gushing paid reviews that the internet is riddled with. Theres nothing I can say to convince you that it is genuine. Just give them a chance and remember to be patient. They have their rules to follow and they do want to rent to you.more ...hide ...

Its a gated community, but theres too much standing around and action for me. So, it just doesnt feel safe there. So, it just doesnt feel safe there. UPDATE: JULY 31, 2021 Ive been told by an occupant there that they only have one light company that work with this apartment complex and if your lights get turned off there you could possibly get evicted as well. And that kind of weird to me. They should at least give them a chance to get them back on, make the place all bills paid or give them a couple of different light companies to work with other than just one company. That is so unfair and the the light company that they have there is expensive. Its like a trap or something to me. But antywho, Im definitely glad that I dont stay there, but I do hate it for those that have no choice (being that they are low income so some cant afford anything else) may God bring abundance on those that are there that wont out. God bring them the strength and will power to do better!more ...hide ...
I would give a lower rating if I could! This place is an absolute disaster, especially Petra in the front office who is so rude, unprofessional, underhanded and sneaky - not to mention an all-round terrible human being. I would give a lower rating if I could! This place is an absolute disaster, especially Petra in the front office who is so rude, unprofessional, underhanded and sneaky - not to mention an all-round terrible human being. My family has been forced to live here for 2.5 years against their will. If you don't want your maintenance needs ignored and attitude when you can't pay rent due to issues that were not fixed, DO NOT MOVE HERE! It took over a year for them to do something about mold in the master bathroom ceiling which caused my sister and mother breathing problems with twin premie babies in the house. A flood occurred due to dishwasher and disposal leaking, but management did nothing - didn't even take $70 off rent! To add insult to injury, my father passed away in January 2021 and Petra issued eviction notice to my grieving mother!! Avoid this place like the plague - I'm sure this review has saved someone from this nightmare.more ...hide ...
