Today I visited the towers for a work related task. I am a disabled Air Force Veteran which requires me to have a service dog. When I arrived I was questioned if my dog was a service animal even though she was wearing a bright red vest that said service animal. No problem. I get asked all the time. When I went to look for the person I was scheduled to meet with (a volunteer) I went to the location where he was supposed to be. He was not there so I returned to the lobby where I was confronted by the front desk clerk and two other employees whispering (but loud enough for me to hear) about me having a service animal. The front desk clerk then stated to me that I was not allowed into the dining area with my service animal. I explained to him that it was illegal for him to deny me access. He said \"I know. But you cant take the dog into the dining area.\" I repeated again that it was illegal and offered him a copy of the ADA law that I carry with me. He did not want it and just kept telling me \"I know its illegal, but this is private property and due to health code you cannot enter the dining area.\" The ADA law supersedes this fact. I left without being able to do my job. The staff at the Pikes Peak Towers should really be retrained to understand the Americans with Disabilities Act. Im not sure who the owner is but I would love to discuss this further. This is a straight forward case of discrimination against someone with a disability. more ... hide ...

I lived there for 2 years. Just moved out at the end of September. The new management and maintenance team rock!! They have been nothing but welcoming and polite since the first day they came on board to make necessary i mprovements. Every maintenance issue was addressed within 24hrs if submitted during the week. Everyone in the office has always been so kind and eager to address any concerns. Living there has been overall great! It is kid friendly. You receive covered parking without paying extra fees. There is good lighting outside. The apartments come with a washer & dryer! That is a luxury in itself. Although things do happen in and around the complex it is a nice place to live comfortably. I always felt safe. In the event that I move back to the Springs I would most definitely consider living there as my first choice again. more ... hide ...

So far my experience has been nothing but 5 Stars! We applied to Winfield about 4 weeks ago and we just moved in the management was incredible to work with us on such a short time period! The apartment we moved into is s uch a blessing to my husband and I! Very nice carpets so much space and central heating and cooling! It is so nice that I dont have to have baseboards or window units to heat/cool my residence. Fabi the manager is a wonderful human being, so far during night time it is quiet and peaceful the other tenants follow sound curfew. I havent had any trouble finding parking. And Ive read all the complaints about mold but during the lease you have to sign about 2 pages about, if you find mold and the protocol you need to follow. It is so wonderful to see children playing outside you dont find that often! This seems like a very family friendly place! I am so pleased and happy already! And when we were completing the remaining of the application process the maintenance men came and introduced themselves they were very kind and friendly!
