I recently moved out May 2016 and while my time at the complex was okay, we had several issues with getting things fixed. It all began when we moved in. The unit was dirty, I mean filthy. Holes in the walls, dirty and st ained carpet, the dishwasher was... beyond words. Dirty toilets and every appliance was gross. We really needed to move in, so we took their $60 discount and moved in. In hindsight that $60 cant make up for what we had to deal with. For one, in our little over a time of living there we only got to use the dishwasher for one non consecutive week. The dishwasher would back up \"gunk\" from either the pipes, or some internal part of the dishwasher, and coat every inch in a sticky, hard to remove substance that made you want to vomit when you looked at it. We asked time and time again for them to either clean it or resolve the issues, we were promised a replacement dishwasher and it never happened. For us, the dishwasher had been one of the selling points of the apartment, we never got to realize that benefit. Our neighbors were not the best, but when can you expect that in an apartment complex? We had a ground floor unit, the neighbor on the floor directly above us felt it necessary to dump her trash, cigarettes, dirty mop water, and animal feces over her balcony and onto the grass directly in front of our porch. This was an issue that management never fully resolved. We always paid on time, and never missed a payment. The apartment was kept clean, we were quiet and good tenants. We gave ample move out notice when the time came, signed the appropriate forms, spend a month moving out and cleaning the apartment to make sure no one else suffered the same indignity of moving into a filthy apartment. It took Cassell Ridge, LP five months to mail our refund of the security deposit. The refund should have been $615. We received a total of $215.00. They claimed there was \"extensive damage,\" and \"excessive pet dander and urine stains.\" Which, honestly, is deeply insulting. We brought with us, and paid the pet fees for, three adult pets, which totaled $450. If Cassell Ridge, LP felt that they were entitled to damages it should have come out of that amount. Instead, I feel as if I have been robbed and mistreated. They just want your money. If you decide to move here, make sure you photograph everything from our move in date and move out date. more ... hide ...
