I absolutely loved my time living in Shady Creek Apartments. The landlord is courteous, professional, and easy to work with. Maintenance is always completed in a quick and professional manner. They always make sure to as k before entering. The rates are great (WAY better than Highpoint at Pella), the floor plan in my unit was perfect (single guy who lived in a one bedroom one bath unit), and I have no complaints besides that my unit didnt have washer and dryer in the unit, but after a couple of weeks it really wasnt that big of a deal. I signed a 1-year lease and had to relocate 3 months into my lease. The landlord started looking for a new tenant as soon as I told her I had to leave, and she got someone to take over the lease shortly after I moved out so that I didnt have to pay out the lease. Oh and I wanted a garage but there werent any available when I first got the apartment. The landlord made note of this and a couple of weeks later she got me the garage I wanted. We have lived in our apartment here at Meadow Wood almost 6 months now and love it. The managers, Pam and Ray are awesome and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of, plus they are on site. That was a goo d thing about living here for me. They have children and that was great since I am a grandma raising my granddaughter. We could also have our small dog here unlike most places. Pam and Ray makes you feel like family and we have a lot of good people here, old and young.Newbury Properties has some strict guidelines, but I like that, so you know that everyone is screened before they sign a lease. You can be sure you can raise your children here. We are close to all the schools and pool as well as a park and churches near by. We have those who dont want to comply and complain about things, but they usually move on.I would recommend Meadow Wood to anyone who wants an apartment or town house in a safe, quite place to call home. This complex is a nice property in a great location. The apartment was in great condition and a comfortable, affordable option for our family. The space was laid out nicely, had adequate storage, and was well maintained. However, the property management was a very disappointing, confusing, and overall frustrating experience. The paperwork to apply was tremendous. Management changed rules and expectations frequently while not inforcing the basics of community living. We had problems with other tenants and their pets and received very little help and support from the property managers. The on site management changed 3 times in less than a year and the regional manager was rude, took complaints personally, excessive and over stepped her involvement frequently. Some of the neighbors were kind and friendly, but overall many tenants were irresponsible with supervising their children and pets, dont clean up after themselves, and dont show much concern for others in a very community based environment. They kept the majority of our deposit while the onsite manager praised the condition and effort we had given the property at our check out. When I tried to dispute the charges, I was told it was accessed by the regional office and wasnt given any written justification or explanation for the deductions. Would have liked to stay much longer but frustrations and conflicts with management made it a very unpleasant place to live. more ... hide ...

The recreational facilities from the pool, to the beach, to the badminton court, to the billiards room, and even the sungka table in the lobby were all very well maintained and very pleasant to use. We didnt use the fitn ess facilities during our stay, but did explore them and the childrens play area and found them all to be very accommodating. The equipment in the fitness facility was all state of the art, and they did maximize the space used. more ... hide ...
