Don't be deceived by the images they post on Craigslist; I have added a picture of what it really looks like. Strangers are often wandering in the hallways, attempting to get into the apartments. There was even a guy trying to abduct small children in the building. Additionally, there are aggressive animals, drug peddlers, and very little aid from The Yards staff. For your own sake, keep looking. The price is not worth the hassles and issues you would have to endure. Oh, and by the way, they are constantly closed, so don't expect to get any packages. EDIT: Regarding the "other" Yards, people should watch out. Nick, the leasing manager, has been described as one of the rudest individuals ever. You can find several reviews to back that up. When I asked for more info on the "other" leasing company, no one answered. So, to all the readers out there, stay away from both Yards; they are incredibly filthy and the staff is only nice when you are renting or viewing an apartment. To avoid eviction, I submitted my move-out notice. It's hard to fathom that the apartments have gone from the best to the worst. When I resided there, it was well-maintained. My apartment was in the fifth floor of the building closest to the Broadway Bridge, and my balcony faced the key card-operated gate. There was no washer/dryer in the unit, but there was a dishwasher. There was a laundry room in the building, although you had to be careful not to leave your clothes there as they would be taken. GSL managed The Yards when I lived there, and the staff were almost impolite. I was accused of not paying my rent one month, but luckily I had two receipts to demonstrate that I had done so, and it was an error on the accountant's part. I likely would have stayed there as I thoroughly enjoyed living there, but the way they managed my situation was very poor. Instead of cooperating with me, they were against me. That's why I only gave two stars. Consequently, I was homeless for two years because of it.
