The worst experience I ever had was with the woman processing my application. She kept playing games and giving me the runaround while trying to update it. I even put down a $400 deposit for an apartment, but she said if we walked away from the process, we wouldn't get the money back. After two weeks, we realized she was trying to manipulate us into quitting--but we waited her out instead. They said my application was rejected because of an unpaid electricity bill from four years ago--which had already been removed from my credit report almost two years ago! It wasn't even listed on annuacreditreport.com anymore! They were lying all along! My daughter wasn't able to be on the lease because she wouldn't be living there full-time in that school district, so they claimed my income of 56k was too high (the max is 67k). This lady didn't even have basic people skills and kept saying she did things that never occurred! Anyway, if you want to feel dumb for five seconds then apply--just make sure not to give in when paying a deposit; wait them out and don't let them get your money! Eventually they asked for four pay stubs which we provided; however, after going back-and-forth they suddenly said "I need one for the 25th" but we applied on the 23rd--so it would've more ... hide ...
