We had a good relationship with the Manager of the complex, however, other aspects of living there were less than desirable. Additionally, we experienced crime directly multiple times during our three-year stay (car break-ins, attempted break-in of our apartment, someone banging on our door at 4 AM, etc.). The kids in the complex would also act out, like picking on other children in the playground, bending car antennas, and climbing on cars. The garbage cans would often overflow and become dumping grounds for tenants. Walmart was located nearby, so we were subjected to the sound of trucks working through the night. The Manager was attentive to our concerns, but the owners only saw us as a source of income. It took a long time for them to respond, and only after we made serious threats such as refusing to pay rent until they did. We lived there for nearly three years and never had our rent reduced. Walking around the lawn, it was not uncommon to come across pet feces in areas not designated for animals to defecate. One of our neighbors even allowed their dog to urinate on the stairs leading to our apartment. If given the chance, we wouldn't live there again. more ... hide ...
