The proprietors of Bonaventure are a hideous ordeal and treat their employees on all levels as if they were slaves. Those who are not in upper management struggle to get weekends off or even holidays for religious reasons. Those who are not in upper management struggle to get weekends off or even holidays for religious reasons. When a worker is sick they still expect them to come in despite the fact that it puts the elderly at risk of getting really sick. Bonaventure also does not give their personnel enough money to host the events they have all year, so the staff has to put their own money into the company to provide the residents with decent events. Additionally, this company treats the elderly residents like children, getting easily frustrated and angry with them. If asked to take pictures of the seniors at events, they will ask to not have their picture taken, yet the activities director will still take it, even guiding them back to their seat forcefully. I have even seen with my eyes an employee dragging a resident along against their will just to fill up a seat at an event.
