However, the mandatory meal program does not abide by the USDA's standards for sugar, salt, fat, cholesterol, and protein; meals are usually composed of processed or breaded and fried meats, pasta, potatoes instead of grains; fruits and vegetables are normally limited to canned green beans, peas, carrots, iceberg lettuce, fruit cocktail, and salads with marshmallows; the proportions do not follow the USDA MyPlate program. One must pay an additional $200 above rent for at least one meal a day as a requirement of living at Missoula Manor. With assistance from my doctor, my registered dietician, and legal advice, I was able to obtain a medical exemption from the program. There are also a couple of men who make unwelcome contact with women, and it is impossible to know what they might do beyond testing the waters and talking trash. According to building management, it is up to women to figure out which men to stay away from. Furthermore, there is a problem of gang bullying, but building administrators deal with such issues as if it were a private matter between the predator and their target.
