When I was expecting something important, they fixed it, yet didn't give me a key. The manager said she would put in a notice about my key coming the following week, yet the other manager didn't have a notice. So, I had to wait even longer, as I was often not home, so the air not working didn't bother me. One night when I came home and went to sleep, I found my bed full of bed bugs! I hadn't bought any used furniture and hadn't been living there that long, so I couldn't have brought them in. My neighbour was cleaning with cloves, and I noticed that the exterminator van had been around the complex for a few days. I was also told I had to pay for the extermination. I asked if I could get my carpet cleaned, however, I still had to pay for it, even though it was already dirty when I moved in. The rent for my one-bedroom, one-bathroom is $475, and I received a letter from management saying I would get $150 off the next rent, but the rent will be going up to $509. These apartments for the cost are relatively good. They're kept well with nice landscaping and many big trees, and a lot of squirrels! There's plenty of parking with pavement that is in decent condition; no weeds, no huge puddles of oil, no broken-down cars which bring bad people and mean dogs. The units available are small efficiency one and two bedroom units; I'm not sure if they have studios or 3 bedroom units. The apartments are in good condition with new paint, walls without holes, nothing broken--a big bonus. Maintenance/office staff should be on duty during regular hours but they seem to come and go. There's a laundry room plus soda/snack machines. Nearby there's a Circle K store, Family Dollar store plus car wash/carnicaria next door. Within driving distance you can find several burger places, Mexican restaurants, Walgreens pharmacy & Food City market as well as check cashing service & Dollar Tree shop along with two auto part stores & oil change place plus post office & public library and other small shopping spots too. Also close by there are three public schools plus some Catholic schools & churches including magnet school in addition to private school too. I'm not an expert but from my perspective the neighborhoods nearby appear to be lower middle class yet have neighborhood pride visible too; so I'd recommend these apartments if this price range fits into your budget – also I'd recommend any other place around this area as it looks like more ... hide ...
