On 01/28/21, I took a tour of Apartment #106 with Brianna (I believe this is her name, the black leasing agent). I asked her if the apartment was available, if there were any more one bedrooms, and what levels were available. I was informed the unit was available to move in and my reference date was ASAP. I filled out the application and handed it in to the property manager on 02/01/21, expecting to hear back within a week. On Friday 02/05/21 I called to follow up, as I had been commuting from MD to Dulles for work every day. The property manager informed me no units were available and the one I viewed had been leased! Clearly this was not true, since she had accepted my application and said she would call if anything was missing. I would have appreciated if they had simply said either my credit history or lack of rental history was the issue. Since I work for the USPS, my job is not the issue. They told me to pick up my application folder (including the refundable application fee), but when I stopped by before work the door was locked and no one answered after I knocked. It would have been better if they had been honest, as I could have saved myself the energy and time.more ...hide ...

They do not care about the people who they house or their concerns, I can attest to this first hand. I was renting at this property and I fell behind about 3 months in rent and due to this and the fact the property manager , Marcela, did not like myself or my family, she refused to renew my lease. It was the ultimate okie doke, especially since they were legally unable to evict people at this time, due to COVID. Instead of my leasing office helping me fill out the VA Rent Relief program so I was no longer in debt, they sent me to collections. Now they refuse to give me any information regarding my previous lease, so I am now unable to pursue the Rent Relief Program, although I was eligible.more ...hide ...
