I lived in these apartments for one year and the service and facilities were outstanding! So why the one star rating? Well, the reward I got for being a quiet, kind and spotless tenant (no holes in the walls to hang a painting, not a single speck of dirt or dust and making sure to clean every corner before my departure) is that the Management didn't give my deposit back because "I didn't inform" them 60 days before my date. But there is a slight issue. In the months leading up to my departure, I went to the office and asked the staff (who no longer work there, but with whom I had great relationships with) if there were any other formalities to take care of and I was told nothing else. Since I am not from the USA, I still kept closely examining the leasing agreement for any issues. After waiting for four months after my departure, I was told that my deposit was forfeited. Where do I start this COULD be a nice place to live but there is quite a bit that needs to be improved The office staff is a major problem The first leasing agent I met was nice but the other Tiana was completely incompetent Our specific leasing agen Where do I start this COULD be a nice place to live but there is quite a bit that needs to be improved The office staff is a major problem The first leasing agent I met was nice but the other Tiana was completely incompetent Our specific leasing agent Tiana failed to inform us what we needed to have the day we sign the lease and of course he wasnt there the day we were so we all showed up completely unprepared and almost unable to move in It was so embarrassing and unbelievably stressful to deal with this situation and it was all due to her unprofessionalism and lack of communication and failure to return our calls or emails Additionally I also tried to call the property manager to complain about this agent and how all of the inconvenience we experienced could have been avoided if he had just communicated with us but I have not heard anything Hopefully something gets done about her because I would hate to have what happened to me happen to someone elsenI do not recommend living at this residence The office is disorganized my paperwork was wrong from the day I moved in and they screwed up my renttaking it out of the security deposit without a phone call or explanation I called maintenance at least 5 times for various concerns including a bird in my furnace When I called maintenance they told me they usually find their way out but they didnt and when I turned the heat on come fall the furnace needed repairs because there was a dead bird inside I lived on the bottom floor near the woods and had tons of bugs in the apartment on a regular basis Come to find out there was a gap in the sliding door which took over a month to get looked at only after calling the regional office This place doesnt even deserve the one star rating I have rented for the past 2 years and living at Northwind Forest has been by far the worst apartment experience ever The apartments are old and leaky with fresh paint and floors to make them SEEM newif you are a nonsmoker be prepared for your neighbors meth and cigarette smoke to enter your apartment Its great when your clothes start to smell like cigarettes and meth and you dont even do drugs or smoke yourself Dont make the same mistake I did read others reviews too before you sign a lease more ... hide ...
