My family & I lived here when we 1st got married. The view from the photos posted are COMPLETELY DECEIVING! There are also bugs everywhere in the hallway & can easily get in your home.(Pest Control does come on a regular basis). Parking is horrible, people will constantly lean & sit on your car, even if you address them about the issue. Neighbors are loud, if you live on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you will more than likely have people sitting on the steps ALL times of the day & night. Weed is constantly being smoked(Not good for children to be introduced too at a young age.) The management staff is horrible, when we left, we left the apartment the EXACT SAME way it was when we moved in, but the manager TRIED to lie to us & told us that we did not. She kept our security deposit ($400) & claimed that we owed her an additional $88. We followed up with corporate about the matter, when they looked up our name & address in the system, they told us that she put in that we left on good terms & that no balance was owed. So not only did the property manager lie to us, but she also stole from us. Something else that they do not tell you, is that these apartments are neighboring to another set of apartments that have constant break-ins, as well as other problems in that area. The only thing that separate the apartments are a fence that can be easily jumped over or torn down & walked between. In a nut shell, this is a horrible place to live, especially if you have a family. DONT MOVE HERE!!! more ... hide ...

Been here 4 years with my family. Within 4 years we have work orders from move in to date that hasnt been rectified. Rent has went to $555.00 which is cheap, but not when you have to pay out of pocket to find someone to fix problems in your apartment that maintenance is supposed to fix. Weve reached out to Gateway several times, one woman came down and wrote down our work orders.. guess what none are done.. excuses given were they will get to it, or they dont have the staff because theyre short handed. When the woman was told about mold she shrugged and said use Clorox, Clorox doesnt remove mold nor stop mold. Currently, we have reached out to Gateway due to more hazardous living and asked them to come out and have someone from Gateway check the mold and they havent responded. Finally, moving my family after reaching out to appropriate people about our hazardous living with mold, leaks, currently no air again, and oven not working. I promised my family I would move them and thats what I am doing. We are moving under the New Alabama Tenant Law due to hazardous living. This is a family thats been in remission of cancer, has Sarcoid, Lupus, seizures, and asthma. Which MGMT definitely knows. Finally found a way to upload the current pictures. more ... hide ...
