WARNING! LONG & DETAILED! Lived here for a year lease (2012 into 2013) in 1bdPros: Cleanliness of property as a whole so its comfortable to walk around the complex with pride. They make sure everyone is doing their part for the community.Cons: Theyre very uppity so even if youre not responsible-to be fair everyone receives notice if someone is letting their dog defecate without proper disposal. The notices become annoying. Also, its not really your porch because they constantly check it to see if youre following regulations of what is allowed on your porch. To me, it felt like I was being interrogated for temporarily putting recyclables there for 1 day until I could take it to a center after work.Pros: The floorplan/set up is great. Properly spaced & accurate to descriptions on website.Cons: If you prefer not to have people see your bedroom another location is best because the bathroom is attached to bedroom instead of main living area. I did not mind this however.Pros: For the most part, all utilities (I did not rent W/D units) are updated. Never had a problem with stove, microwave, fridge or garbage disposal.Cons: The heater went out twice during the fall. AC went out onceManagement: When I first moved in (Summer 2012) Mary Beth was the manager, and although she worked with me she had a terrible attitude about it. Later in the year Tim became manager. He is excellent at addressing issues, considerate, & attentive.Rent: As another reviewer put it-rent can be deceiving. Clear all questions about charges (water, garbage disposal, CUBS mgmt. fee, etc.) & look over paperwork carefully. When I signed I was under the intention of my rent as a whole. After 2 months I became aware of an extra $50 in addition to my rent.Maintenance Pros: Kept sidewalks & stairs shoveled during winterMaintenance Cons: Very displeased with the service. Things have gone missing. Throughout my stay multiple requests are made for just one service due to half-a$$ fixes or no fixes at all. To get anything done, you have to contact the manager. During winter, they pour rock gravel & it gets stuck in your shoes & trails into your apartment.General Appearance: Aside normal wear & tear, apartment was fine. Though I would have preferred brand new carpet when I moved in, instead it was just cleaned. My father is an approved inspector so I lucked out in the beginning of what I was not going to be responsible for in the end.Resources: I never used the gym or laundry access. The pool & hot tub were always clean. Parking was plentiful (though I was told it might be minimal by the staff when I leased) however the building I was in was on Northeast side. Security dispatch is not helpful. After bringing this matter up with the manager, better service is up & coming to my understanding.Surroundings: The field & park nearby is terrific for nice walks. Great neighborhoods & views.Other: Community is suggestive & active. Staff is friendly. Resident appreciation. Pipe burst in Fall, causing flooding & damage in apartment & addl apartments. Cheap piping material was used. No compensation for inconvenience of repair process.**I would have renewed my lease, however they wanted WAY too much for what the unit offers. You could get a luxury apt/condo or even a house for the price theyre asking. *UPDATE SEPT. 2013* I have received the Final Account Statement. 1st time it came blank in my email, I should have left it at that. Responsibly, I called & requested a new one. They sent me a charge of $200!!! All the fees are not worth it! I had to call the Regional Denver Office for validation/verification for my statement. Their office contacted the property & got back to me with a solution thankfully. However, the hassle is very disconcerting. more ... hide ...
