It will be exciting to see what they do to this historic building once the renovations are completed. Especially the top floors since I heard those will be more luxury market rate apartments.Update: 2/25/20I got to tour the building a few weeks ago during the open house after all the renovations were done. They truly made this building a piece of historic art.They have apartments on the first floor all the way to the top 5th floor. On the bottom they have built to suit space ready to be leased out for commercial space. The apartments range from studios to 3 bedroom. Laundry room is in the basement with a waiting/kids area along with extra storage.The only thing I see being an issue is they have less parking spaces than they do units, parking is also first come first serve so I can see that being pretty tricky.These apartments are Income Based and NOT low income/section 8 housing. There is a big difference so dont get them mixed up.When I was there for the open house they said they only had 2 apartments left, meaning these are a hot commodity.Its exiting to see new life be put back into downtown and I feel this project is the start to something way more for downtown redevelopment. more ... hide ...

So far no one has been willing to work with us, maintenance fixes everything thats broken, 2 months after it breaks, property managers dont know what they are doing, well they do, but theyre crooks. I would rather live w ith my mother than rent anything owned by Legacy again. Seriously, live here at a last resort. Moving out of these apartments was the best thing that ever happened to me. more ... hide ...

An important organization in the Caldwell community which, along with running the facilities at Farmway Village, takes time to advocate for fair and affordable housing for all. Their Board of Trustees works very hard in this area. Im thankful to the Executive Director of CHA -- Mike Dittenber -- for taking some time out of his busy schedule to talk to me (a recent college grad) about opportunities for interfaith cooperatives to get involved in local community service and fair housing work. It was encouraging to hear him speak so highly of his employees and co-workers and the Farmway community itself. He clearly values the people he serves as well as the people he works with.
