It is a process to rent the apartments, which I love because they are very selective with who they let in. HOWEVER, once a person is in the apartment, the office doesnt really check to see who is there and who is not, I ended up with downstairs neighbors from hell because a tenant decided to move her cousin in who loved to party and smoke weed on a nightly basis. The office is only open 2 days out the week and 90% of the time they arent even in , so you gotta catch them while you can. The manager is sweet, and she does her job BUT ONLY WHEN SHE IS IN THE OFFICE. Again, catch them while you can. Maintenance is pretty quick with handling jobs. Apartment complex is very clean and well maintained. Quiet area for the most part. When moving in make sure you document items that arent fixed. I got charged to strip floors that were supposed to be stripped BEFORE I moved in to my apartment. I was in a rush to move in that I agreed to have them do it while I was occupying the apartment. It was never done and they charged me for something they were supposed to do prior to me moving in. My lawyers are now handling that issue. There are inspections every 6 weeks, that was no biggie for me, keep a clean home and you will pass...be aware though, if you pass on a regular and there is a County and State inspection where the top dogs come in, they will use your apartment to pass that inspection every time. The process for applying for a home here has been frustratingly unsuccessful. They havent answered a single phone call of mine in the past few weeks. Only one of my emails were responded to. Weve driven there a f ew times to speak in person over the last few weeks.I completed a paper application, but was advised to apply online because its faster. I went home and searched the website, but couldnt find an online application anywhere. No response when I called and emailed for help. I went back to the office to ask for help in person. I asked them to show me exactly where to go to complete the online application, the manager and the leasing specialist looked at me and said I mustve been doing it wrong, but still didnt show me where to go online.Today, we were told they couldnt submit our application because they didnt have our materials, but we resubmitted everything via paper application, then again via email last week. I even received a response to my email saying received.I was given an email address to send my pay stubs to, but when I went to the office they said they didnt know whos email that was and completely dismissed it. Didnt even try to figure it out.A few weeks ago, we were told we were the only people applying for the apartment we wanted. Today, we were told its been taken off the market because someone applied before us.Not once did anyone apologize for the negligence and confusion in the application process.Just because this community offers affordable housing doesnt mean applicants should be allowed to be treated this way. We couldnt finish our sentences, without getting cut off. My mom threatened to report them for their negligence and the response was thats fine. more ... hide ...
