The office doesnt respond to calls or emails, or maintenance requests. They just ignore you. And now this shady business is trying to charge me for water but water is included in my rent per my lease (there is no addendu m regarding water either, so it cannot be added in now). Im receiving threatening emails about being kicked out if I dont pay fees that I never even agreed to pay to begin with. Fees that I legally dont have to pay. I paid what I signed for but theyre still telling me my rent is late. Dont move here. Its an absolute nightmare. I will be making complaints with the state attorney generals office and the NC real estate commission. I will not be bullied into paying for something I never agreed to. more ... hide ...

Living in hairston wasnt like it was back in the days.Mangement have moved some of the nastiest disrespectful,ghetto women in these apartment you would think that those apartments was projects hairston is just somewhere to stay until you get on your feet not a place to stay forever the apartments are roach infected. So if thats your cup of tea than by all means stay there.... I lived there for 5 years and after i seen roaches in my apartment from girls who was staying beside me i told Mangement and she didnt want to do any thing about it that all i needed to know thats when i put my plan in place i gave my 30 day notice and got the hell up outta. there...so ladies i said all that to say this hairston is not a great place to raise your kids so have a plan in place to do better. more ... hide ...

There is new management by the name of Greg. Greg is actually the worst management I have ever dealt with in my life. This man and apartment complex is very expensive for the horrible facilities. Not only is maintenance terrible about fixing things but the parking is another deal in itself.Without informing ANYONE they started booting cars and charging $100 per boot. They refuse to talk to the company they contract with to boot and tow the cars. They also did not make sure residents that LIVE here GOT THEIR PARKING PASS. People who paid for the parking pass, which the office is too lazy to pass out, are getting booted.They also make it extremely difficult to allow visitors because the incompetent parking situation. I have lived in much much nicer places than this for much cheaper.This place is a joke. more ... hide ...

So many beautiful memories at Hawthorne Northside. Amazing staff and location and great views depending on the unit you get. Not to mention lovely plaster walls if you get a non-renovated unit. You can really feel the hi story in these buildings and I get warmfuzzys when walking about the property and the adjacent neighborhood. We had such a great year living at Hawthorne however after a while we began to feel cramped due to lack of available storage, also the street noise from the nearby dispatch station got to be a little much. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to live and I will always recommend it! more ... hide ...
