I moved to Horizon Steele Creek in Nov 2021. I was very pleased with Melody and Katherine in the office. The apartment is nice and I was enjoying living here. Until this morning, at 3am there was several gun shots that w oke me up. Spoke with a police officer and was told there was a shooting in the parking lot of the building across from mine. He stated there were 2 groups in the parking lot shooting, someone went to the hospital injured and another person died. There were cop cars all the way to the community entrance this morning, this is embarrassing and unacceptable. This is a gated community but the gate never works so for the past month the gate is open. The gate should be fixed ASAP. There is a courtesy officer, but after this happening. There should be a POLICE OFFICER watching throughout the day/night moving forward. The fact that anyone could have got injured with bullets flying I expect something to be done about this soon. Apparently this complex has had violence issues in the past so it needs to stop for good. Management needs to make this priority and I will be monitoring. To pay $1800+ for this unsafe environment will not be happening for long. Im sure Im not the only resident that will be reevaluating my lease. I would not suggest anyone lease here until these issues like this are resolved for good. I feel very uncomfortable at this point. more ... hide ...

At first they treat you pretty good, the bad thing is when you report an issue in your appartment. You have to beg them every single day for them to \"try\" to fix it. Two weeks ago my family and i got kicked out just be cause we reported a leak on our bathroom. We told maintenance and the manager as well at least 3 times about it everytime our neighbor upstairs used his bathroom the water fall all over our bathroom floor. We got tired of cleaning that nasty water every single day. And we told them we wouldnt pay rent until they fix it. The manager told my wife it would cost up to $600 to fix it and that was too much money and didnt know when they would be able to fix it because of the cost. She said to wait for the letter from court for our last move out notice!. Since we saw they werent fixing anything we gave them the money order. The following day the manager gave back the money order and a letter which said they were giving our money back and gave us only 7 days to move out. They did inspection while we still had that leaking and said our bathroom didnt pass the inspection because of the mold due to the leak they werent willing to fix. I honestly felt discriminated against because there are some people living there whom dont pay rent on time and its not the first time yet theyre still living there and all because of their race (theyre not hispanic) thats the reason that makes me think theyre racist. Ive got pics and videos of the leaks because it was actually two not just one. The first one was 6 months ago. My son who suffers from astma and due to the smelly water from the leaking we ended up taking him to the emergency room. For that and many more reasons im writing this feedback because i feel like it was unfair how we got kicked out for no reason and i hope theyre more considerate with everyone who lives there. more ... hide ...

We love living here. I like the balcony and huge walk in closets the best, they are such nice features for any apartment to have. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the maintenance guys are always quick to respond to a service issue request. I love being so close to main street, as well as High Point University. For any students going to college there, it is less than 5 minutes to the school entrance. Yet it still feels secluded since the complex is surrounded by trees. You are just a short drive from pretty much everything. There is a walking path, a small fenced dog park, an outdoor grill and pavilion area, a gym, and a pool. They just updated the walking path and pool this year too. All in all, it is a very affordable and nice place to live and I really recommend it. more ... hide ...

I gave a good review 5 years ago. I feel I need to update the review to current conditions. We are entering week 4 of not having an elevator to the second floor. I am disabled and recently moved upstairs because a w alk in shower became available. Its difficult for me to raise my foot over a tub and nearly impossible to climb 2 flights of stairs. They have given us no date for repairs. Another reviewer stated there is adequate parking, there is not. The parking area does not have enough disability parking for the current number of disabled. The second parking lot is not directly accessable. You must go all the way around if confined to a wheelchair or rollator. more ... hide ...
