Im a current resident here and this is the absolute worst place to live in Akron!!! Ive been living here for about a year and its been absolutely horrid. There are maintenance workers out working Monday - Sun day and Im still in need of having my carpet replaced in my ENTIRE apartment since the first day I moved here. The rooms in the apartments are unreasonably small limiting you to only be able to set up bedrooms one way. The entire apartment complex is not properly leveled. The weather seals in your front AND back door need to be replaced because you can see outside from standing inside. The dishwasher racks are molded Ive never used the dishwasher because of that. My refrigerator is still currently missing a piece. The sink in my upstairs restroom had not been properly installed and you could lift the entire sink bowl out of the counter. The air ducts are FILTHY. The filter in my furnace hadnt been replaced since God knows when. If you stay here in an income based apartment they will still try to charge you an extra months rent if you were to lose your job. I have one thing to say about office management. Miss Laura Ruhi is the absolute best. Seeing anyone else in the office... brace yourself to be confused because what they say and do will not make any sense.Update I now do not feel safe living here!!!! Since Ive made this post they had maintenance come and address some of my concerns but not all have been addressed. It was confirmed last week by the office that maintenance men have been coming into my unit unauthorized! This is completely and utterly unacceptable! I have maintenance men messing with my food in my refrigerator, and the office tells me that they cant get one same story back from the maintenance workers. I go to start my vehicle today and my alarm goes off and doesnt stop. Ironically as this is happening at 6:45 a.m maintenance worker driving blacked out Pontiac G6 drives past I try to flag them down for help. They look at me and keep going. They park in the driveway of the maintenance garage, no one gets out of the vehicle at all. I finally get my alarm to stop after about 10 minutes, the car drives off after I start walking back to my unit. I have so many questions! What is going on in this wicked place? Why would they not try to help me? Most importantly why is there a maintenance worker out this early when the office doesnt even open until 9 a.m????? I hope Akron Police Department can help me out and give me some answers. I will also be calling AMHA because Im scared live, sleep, or even eat in my own residence because of this nonsense that has been going on. more ... hide ...

DONT DO IT! RISK!I had an appt on Friday, June 24th, to view an apt, which has been listed on many of the rental websites for some time, and still is. James, who showed me the apt and building, had forgotten about my vie wing and was late, but it was fine. The building is newer but i spotted water damage and leaks on two different floors. Still, I was interested after the tour and told James I could pay the full year lease up front. James told me I had first pick out of two units. I went down the street to the office for the app, but was met by a woman trying to shoo me away, until I told her why i was there. Her voice raised an octave and she was calling me Mr. First Name etc. She was rude. I completed the very simple app (i would not be seeking income assistance), and drove to udf for the money order app fee of $15. James said he would call the following Tuesday. It is now July 7th. I havent heard from or spoken w anyone from the office, though i have called several times and left vms.I have called Community Builders, and their parent company, at their regional offices. All of theses calls and vms have been unanswered. Im out $15. I feel scammed, perhaps even discriminated against. If anyone at the Pointes or any umbrella company (disguising itself as community forward) wants to comment on this google review, dont ask for my number, Ive left it for you all over the place. more ... hide ...
