When I was told I would be going to rehab I was a little uneasy, not knowing what to expect, and being 2 hours away from family and friends. After a 2-hour ride from Clarksville to Union City the ambulance was met by 4 or 5 nurses and CNAs who welcomed me and assured me that everything was going to be ok. It was 5pm, shift change yet I had both day and night shift nurses there. Once in my room and transferred to my bed the social services director came in and welcomed me and advised that she was about to leave for the weekend, but we would talk more Monday morning.The friendliness most of the staff did not stop on the first day. They always had a smile on their faces and kind and friendly words. Often, I would joke and kid around with the staff and they would joke around with me, after all laughter is the best medicine. I had a virtual conference to attend while I was there that I forgot about till the day before. I knew I would need to take notes in the breakout sessions, and I did not have any paper or pens. I asked one of the night aids for a huge favor, I gave her some money and she went on her own time to Walmart to get the supplies I needed. I could fill up two pages of examples of the day-to-day staff of the center.Therapy started bright and early on Monday morning. My physical therapist came in and asked what my goals were. I advised I wanted to be up and on my way home in two weeks. Even though I am sure he thought that goal was not achievable he never once discouraged me in fact he encouraged me and even though he had a mask on you could hear the smile in his voice.Not all my encounters with the staff were positive. I found the Business Office Coordinator to be rude, unprofessional, and degrading. My first encounter with her, she came into my room to discuss what I would owe the center. She stated that I had only paid a small amount of my out of pocket max, I advised that I had paid most already & her response was that is incorrect that whatever I paid in 2020 does not apply towards my out-of-pocket max for the year. My response was yes maam I am aware of that and I paid $150 on January 9th and $1600 a week and half before arriving to AHC and I had the receipt in my bag if she would like to see it. She huffed and said we will see.My second encounter was just as bad. She came into the room on February 15th with the short-term disability form that my company had forwarded to her to fill out. The first thing she said to me was why do you need this? You are too young for disability, and besides, you are not disabled, you are just needing rehab. I advised I am not applying for disability, that this was short-term disability through my work so I can continue to get paid some of my salary while being out. She responded with oh well they should have sent this form before now if they needed it back on the 16th. After calling the insurance company that provided the short-term disability, they advised that the called and left messages for her on February 2,8, & 12 explaining that they needed the form to be filled out and returned with no return call. She advised that the form needed to be signed by the doctor and that he would not be in till February 17th and then it would have to go to corporate from there and they would get it when they get it. I asked if there was any way it could be faxed to the doctors office because it needed to be returned by that Friday, in order for me to get paid the following week, she responded that could not be done as the doctor would have to see me as he had to sign it and it was his license that was on the line. The doctor was supposed to come that week, but he did not, and she ended up faxing the form to his office any way.The final part of this review has to do with dietary. The portion size was a little small. Often the lid was removed and often I would say what is it? It would have been nice if a menu would have been posted for the day or even the week. Tenants BEWARE!!! The Pointe @ Westland got my $150 and did not provide the apartment at the price at which it was advertised (read details below). I contacted the Tennessee Dept of Consumer Affairs. They got involved as an intermediary because I had a valid complaint. (They do not act as attorneys for individuals, so technically they did not represent me.) The Point offered $100 of my $150 back, and I agreed. This was the end of June. It is now Aug 9, 2021, and I still havent seen my $100. The \"state\" is \"closing the case\" because they have done all they can do. I enough have legal proof to get my $100 back - but will I drive 6 hours for this??? I am not sure - I very well may! In which case The Pointe will not only be refunding my money but also paying for my motel and gas money!!! This may be where \"no contact\" court comes in handy!!I wrote the following review sometime in April (I think) - and I am updating it to add the above. I am in the middle of a bad experience with this place. Apartment was advertised at $702. I placed an application and paid a $150 fee around 6 p.m. one day (probably mid February) and received an email confirming this. At 10:30 the next morning (before they had done any work at all on processing our application), I received a note stating that that apartment had been renovated and is now $915.Of course, I argued this discrepancy, stating that they went up on the price after I filed my application and paid my fee.At one point, I received an email stating \"Absolutely, we are happy to honor that rate, if you are still interested. I apologize if I made it sound like we would not. What I am explaining is that the apartment will not be totally renovated for this rate.\" At this point, we stopped looking because we thought we were going to get the apartment (as the email said) for $702. Wouldnt you read that sentence that way? So - I emailed them back to confirm that and then on a Monday, I got the same \"No - its $915\" reply. This email (making us think we \"had\" the apartment) cost us two business days and one weekend in this tight market (which you may know about if you are looking for an apartment in Cleveland, Tennessee!!).I told her (Gwendolyn Davenport, Property Manager) that we could not afford that rate and we should get the $702 rate which we agreed to. She emailed back saying, she would take that as a \"no\" to the apartment since she would not rent it for $702. She said my fee would be refunded.I emailed her back to ask her the amount of my refund. She said $100. I said - no - I paid $150!!! That was the last I heard from them - WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN ONE PENNY BACK FROM THEM YET!!!Conclusion: I will not be trapped in to slandering this company - I have just stated the facts - these facts speak for themselves - make your own decision!!!! more ...

Owner needs a new apartment manager, one thats not into pill sales. They need to CLEAN that place up.. Owner needs to step up and take some responsibility here.. Bad is not the word for these apartments
