This is a little senior complex located just off of Route 9 in Halfmoon. Compared to other places for seniors, its just mediocre. Theres no dishwashers in any of the apartments. As an aging adult, the LAST thing you want to do, are dishes. Theres no central air conditioning in the complex. There are however, regular room air conditioners in the wall, in each unit. Most of the air conditioners are very old, and once those air conditioners no longer work, the complex does not replace them. The responsibility to replace the air conditioners are the responsibility of the tenant. This is a senior complex, with many seniors who have no other income except Social Security. So the rent is based on income, and many of the tenants cannot afford to replace the air conditioning unit once they no longer work in the unit in which they live. That being said, not only is it their responsibility to go out and purchase an air conditioner, its their responsibility to hire a contractor to take out the old air conditioner and dispose of it, and put the new air conditioner in the wall. There is a community room located on the first floor when you enter the complex. Its a beautiful community room, with a kitchenette for social functions, however their are no planned social functions by the complex. No Bingo, no pizza parties, or movie night, nothing for the seniors at all. There is an office located inside of the complex, however the gentleman is only there two or three times a week to address questions or concerns from the tenants. more ... hide ...
