Our best living experience in Madison - by far. My fiancee and I have rented from Rock Apartments for two years now, and have only the greatest things to say about Josh and Kayla, our landlords. They have gone above and beyond routine maintenance many times, preemptively installing brand-new windows and doors to help lower tenants heating and cooling costs. The properties are well-groomed, and the driveways are always plowed come time to leave for work. Any need for maintenance is promptly responded to via an online request portal on their website. The few times there has been a need to enter the rental they give ample notice, maintenance never leaves a mess, and a note is left on your door notifying you that your property was entered with your permission once they leave. This is -not- an outfit run by some massive rental company whose agents dont care and are only looking to cheap out on everything as much as possible. On top of all this, they offer some of the best prices in town! We -highly- recommend Rock Apartments, and thank them for taking such good care of us during our time here.R & E more ... hide ...

Well its not the crappiest its a roof over your head for you and your kids however the bombing for roaches on a monthly basis was annoying because you had to leave your apartment and I hated it in the winter because i ha d 2 small children at the time to take out side in the cold and find some where to go for 4 hours I didnt like that we could smell what our neighbors were cooking and half the time it smelled horrible and another irritating thing was maintenance barely knocked on the door before entering your apartment with the spare key they have.. had to check them about that..... but the staff is nice and the manager pah do work with you if your behind on your rent loved that about her and the ladys at the desk are very helpful and respectful and I barely seen sainey which is the owner this is my honest review.... more ... hide ...

Would not recommend unless you appreciate no/poor communication from landlord. If you are even remotely escalated about a serious issue, they will just simply not respond to you and allow the issue to continue. Incorrect ly done math, searching for ways to charge fees. They WILL threaten to charge fees that are not laid out in the lease agreement. I had probably 10 \"inspections\" done in the first few months, and they never came back to finish work they started. More than once maintenance showed up without notice. I was not told the issue would be corrected, just that I would have to refuse them entry in the future. Any time there is something wrong they do absolutely nothing to correct it except a half hearted apology and a \"hope\" that it never happens again. It always happens again. If your neighbors violate their lease in a way that negatively affects you, even if its a health concern, they will claim its too hard to enforce. Which means it shouldnt be in the lease in the first place. Not to mention, I saw several notes left for management regarding these similar issues that residents had to leave on their door to ensure it was read by management. Been through 3 property managers in 6 months, too.In addition to all of this, we had an issue with our fire alarms that they did not address quickly, however the bigger issue comes from how they handled it in the moment. When we had alarms going off their \"emergency line\" refused the fire dept access to confirm that it was just a faulty alarm and we werent actually in danger. Im not at all confident in this companys ability to keep their tenants safe. Do not live here. more ... hide ...
