Cons: Security is very bad. The cameras on site only are monitoring cameras only. The front entrance door is typically kept wedged open by most of the Somalian families that live on the 1st and 2nd levels. The 1st and 2n d levels of the building smell very bad including the elevator. The elevator is typically broken once a week. The stairwells smell bad. Sub-par property management that will only speak to you when they are in office (they are typically never in office). Windows in the apartments are bad because they are the old school \"turn knob\" to open windows (similar to an early 90s vehicle). The heater and AC is a all-in-one unit. The security is so bad that this year someone broke into the underground car garage (I assume the front door was wedged open) and robbed, vandalized all the cars. Nobody in the building was compensated by property management and nothing was done besides an apology letter to all residence.Pros: The prices are decent compared to other places in the area, but the building cleanliness is poor. They have these community events that take place every so often and they help people in the area when tax season approaches. The apartments look good with some having a nice view of the city skyline. The location is very convenient to all the uptown stores/ restaurants and highways. Their newer MORE expensive project is being built and they are taking waiting lists now. If you are a first time renter than this is a somewhat decent place to live, but if you have been renting for years avoid this place at all costs. more ... hide ...

I will start off with a positive because I want to be fair. The staff here was always friendly and helpful when I would catch them in the office.I no longer live at Ripley now, but when I was here months ago I watched th ings go into decline. I enjoyed living here until my last year in the building. It was infested with mice and management did little to resolve the issue. When they did bring in pest control they would only treat one apartment at a time here and there which meant that the issue was never resolved and the mice continued to be a MAJOR issue. They were literally everywhere. It got to the point that we had to move. There was also a secondary issue that happened later in my time living at Ripley. The elevator, garage, and other shared areas were constantly filthy with food and trash. There were tenants who would constantly pile garbage in the trash shoot area or the garage which Im sure didnt help with the mice situation. As someone who likes to maintain a clean home, this was a problem. Overall I hope that management improves the situation because the property was better a couple of years ago then it has been recently. more ... hide ...

I would never recommend this place for a child. My child went here, never had a one on one session with a therapist. Our social worker set up an interview and then never called us. I tried to reach them and they connecte d me to another parent that was also trying to call in. I dont even know how that happens. They prescribed my child an anti depressant and then when released they never called it in to my pharmacy to have it filled. I had to wait until the following Monday to get ahold of someone to do it, so after being on medication for a week they went several days without which is not ok to do with this type of med. The workers were rude to the kids, there were fights and overall was just a terrible experience for our family. more ... hide ...
