After years of experience with this place, I have the following opinions to share. These two large apt buildings are infested with bugs. First there were roaches, then the fleas arrived and now bedbugs are in several apt s and in the office. The other thing I can say is the apts are poorly managed. The manager is rude and doesnt know how to properly address people. The manager and maintenance staff arent wearing masks while they are in the buildings, they interact constantly with the seniors and visitors with no personal protective face covering. The recreation coordinator is the only bright spot at this facility. * I have adjust my review to one star. This facility has no regard for its elderly residents. After months of complaining about the heater/AC unit not working, the management has failed to fix the problem. In my personal opinion, this is not somewhere that you would have loved ones living at. more ... hide ...

The 22 and 23 busses pass Ralston Tower every 15 minutes during the day. Both go down McHenry to Standiford. The 22 turns at Standiford (McHenry Village, Target) and goes to the mall. Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. All i did was call to ask about availability and requirements. They are listed on a county affordable housing list so i was calling to inquire about the type of people th ey work with. The woman i spoke to was extremely rude when answering my questions and kept talking over me as i was trying to kindly explain my situation. Then when she finally did listen she explained they only except \"top notch\" people and that i didnt fit that requirement. I wasnt expecting that as a first impression nor would i want to sit on their wait list thats a year and a half long after speaking to her.
