Cross creek is in a decent area of town and is pretty safe overall so Ill give them that but the leasing office is absolutely terrible. During the time of living here I had to deal with disruptive, insane and rude ne ighbors but this wasnt the cherry on top I also had to put up with the unprofessional staff in the leasing office and their false accusations. Over the course of two months I had been given two violations notices for the same thing and then the neighbor two doors down also got the same notice for the same exact thing. Weeks go by after my second notice and I receive an email from the office stating that the violations that were given to my neighbor and I were dismissed as it was a misunderstanding¦. No apology was made after leasing office made a big deal out of it and were demeaning and rude. To any future tenets , be careful more ... hide ...

Governeour Manor has been a great place to live. Our two-bedroom apartment is a good size for us, we had new carpet when we moved in, and nothing looks very old or outdated. What you get for the price really cant be beat. The staff are all super friendly and very easy to work with, and the office is stocked with cookies and dog treats. :) We feel very safe here too because you need a key to get into your building, and there are lots of security cameras around. The pool area and grounds are well kept and you can tell they take pride in them. Overall, were very happy we moved here! more ... hide ...

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I lived in an apartment at Arcadia for almost 2 years. I adhered to every single obligation on my lease, including telling them about my 2 dogs before I moved in. My dogs were put on the pet addendum, a nd it said on my contract that I owed $0 in pet rent and didnt owe any pet deposit, pet fee, etc. They ran an audit halfway through my lease, realized their mistake, and contacted me telling theyre changing the price of things on my lease and that they have the right to do it even if I dont consent. I was well aware of the lease and my rights, theres even a clause in the lease stating in order to change any addendums or attachments, that change must be in writing and signed by both parties. I never signed anything of that sort. They continued to harass me for these wrongful charges for over 6 months. They sent me an email threatening to terminate my lease and remove my pets from the apartment. I moved out at the end of my lease, only paying what I was contractually obligated to pay. They had racked on a bunch of late fees to my account as well for not paying the pet related charges. They sent these charges to a collections agency where it was going to be submitted if I didnt pay, and severely effect my credit. I attempted numerous times to ask for proof of my signature on a new pet addendum that gave them the right to do this, and they never could. I escalated this issue to timberland partners and within a day these wrongful fees were dropped from my account. Ive never had such a horrible experience and been bullied by a company the way I have been by Arcadia at Overland Park. I never received any recognition or apology for their horrible treatment and harassment towards me. I would give this place 0/5 stars if I could. more ... hide ...
