When I 1st moved into my apartment I had a infestation of roaches and ants but I was told about the ants but not roaches. My floor started cuddling up in my bathrobe and by my kitchen as will. Reported it but nobody fix ed it because They said it was only temperature cents outlet werent gonna fix it. The sink in the kitchen started Clogging up. The sink in the bathroom leaks from the hot water line and sometimes makes the toilet clogged up and the sing during slow and gets clogged sometimes.I tried the landlord about the problems an they have not sent anybody to fix anything in my apartment. And this has been going on for about a year or more. When I went to give my 30 day notice to the landlord she asked why was I moving. I tell her about the problems in my apartment and she said ,did I report Its and I told her yes and I proceeded to tell her that has been going on for a while now she said did reported it to the old landlord I told her yes and I have reported it to you as well. While Im sitting here telling her whats going on all she could say are you sure you want to move we are remodeling the apartments. There has been no remodeling you have any apartment no fixing of problems that I have gone on in my apartment now so what makes you think that I want to still stay in put up with this . I understand that these are based on income apartments but nobody wants to live like this. I have mold growing underneath my sink in the kitchen because I had to take the pipe a loose to drain my sink out. So I could not send you to use my sink in the kitchen and wash my dishes and stuff that I need to do when the kitchen is that are doing it all in my bathtub. No one wants to live like that especially when theyre paying almost Average price rants for a 3 bedroom apartments. more ... hide ...

The apartment complex has an awesome manager. She goes over and above to provide activities for the residents. The staff is awesome and keep the building and surrounding area clean. My only fault with this complex is that it is in an area where it is hard to get around without a car. There are no nearby supermarkets. Hopefully with all the construction going on, that will be rectified. more ... hide ...

I have been a resident at Lakemoor Apartments in Durham NC 27713 since February 7th, 2012. I return to my home/apartment to receive a letter/notice in the door stating \"Notice to Vacate Premises-60 Days\" due to not com pleting the Annual Recertification. For some reason, this year I never received a phone call from the Leasing Office in regards to the Annual Re-Certification in which Lakemoor has always done each and every year since residing here. I am confused because all of the sudden this year 2020 in the middle of a Global Pandemic, I am being told by the Leasing Office to vacate my home/apartment by JANUARY 31ST, 2021 NOT because I am behind months on my rent like other tenants that reside here at Lakemoor that I know personally but because of Annual Re-Certification. My official lease is NOT up until February 7th 2021 so how is it that I am to VACATE my apartment/home by January 31st, 2021? If this was not enough, another letter was attached to Vacate Letter that titled Move-Out Checklist, so that I would have a guide before I vacate my home/apartment here at the holidays along with a Global Pandemic: Covid 19 SARS as if this was amusing but I can ensure you this would not be entertaining to any individual that has integrity in which I do have. more ... hide ...
