Ive never left a bad review, this is my first. I am just BEYOND frustrated and Ive exhausted every last drop of patience in me. I currently live here and i wish i wouldve never moved in. Unfortunately, I signed a contrac t before knowing the ACs dont work, and apparently neither does the maintenance crew or matter of fact i was being told by the manager that there is no maintenance crew/man here. It takes MONTHS (literally) to get anything fixed. I was without hot water for 3 months before it was fixed. Right now my kids and i are living miserably because my ac is garbage and they wont do anything about it, they literally said to me, thats as good as its going to get even after i pointed out the fact that the pads were old and rotten. So far Ive stayed in a hotel 6 nights this summer because the heat was unbearable, when i ask for reimbursements they say they will not because that was a decision i made on my own. Save yourself the headache and the stress of living here and keep looking. more ... hide ...

Ive been intending to write this review for quite some time. I have time today.I lived at Chaparral from 2011-2017. Everything was great up until my living room ceiling caved in & downstairs bedroom ceiling caved in as well, due to water pipe bursting. We also had issues with mold & mildew. The broiler room was constantly having issues as to were Allen Fire Dept. would come out. (My apt was located on the end, next to the broiler room which is located next to my living room) My living room ceiling would leak water often, maintenance would come patch it up and say the problem was fixed. When reported to the manager at the time Jeri she would come out, pretend to care, send maintenance, then leave. It wasnt until the water pipe burst & the ceiling collapsed in my downstairs bedroom. We were left with the mess, no bedroom to sleep in and still paying rent. At this point, Jeri wanted to patch up the ceiling. I refused and told her I was moving. I found a new place elsewhere and Jeri was refusing to sign my rental verification that was needed for my new place. I had to contact the corporate office Capstone Management and inform them Jeri would not return the form needed. Regina the regional supervisor at the time contacted me and she signed and submitted over the form needed so we could move. Moved out the following weekend. Fast forward 4 years later, I found out there was an EVICTION filed which of course I didnt know about because I had moved and was no longer at the property. For those looking to move here, not sure how the management is now but look ELSEWHERE. more ... hide ...

the staff is very unprofessional, maintenance is poor and inconsistent, and if you speak up and talk back, youll get attitude in return followed by a random lease violation, for example: Baking pans stored in the bottom drawer of the oven...this place is ridiculous with a whole lot of rules that make it terrible to raise kids here...cant wait to move out of this dump. ps....when we moved in there wasnt any light bulbs in our restrooms, mind you it takes 8 light bulbs over the mirrors, well we placed 1 bulb because 8 bulbs is exaggerated...and they tried slapping us with a lease violation for not utilizing the other 7 outlets for bulbs....at $3 a bulb they wanted to add light bulbs...no thanks... more ... hide ...

I have lived in my 3 bedroom apt since 2017 . I have rarely seen or experienced any bad circumstances .They are effective in sending out proper tenant letters regarding rules , as well as late fees etc.The management tea m for the year of 2019 into currently 2020 are very professional, reliable and have always made sure to meet all of the regulations and standards. more ... hide ...
