Just an okay place to stay. Was great at the beginning of our lease then we started having a mice problem that was never taken care of seriously or properly leaving us as tenants to spend hundreds on traps and pesticide even though we were clean people. People who didnt live at the complex started parking in tenant parking and so there was never a spot. You will hear cars racing in the mall parking lot all hours of the night every night. The last month of our lease the laundry facility was closed even though the time to repair was 2-3 weeks. Not worth the money they are raising rent to especially with worn out cabinets, appliances and NO washer and dryer. Nice neighbors though¦. more ... hide ...

Rats, rats, and more rats and I am talking about the two legged ones that work at the office. Empire Village manager lies, cheats whatever they can get away with. She wont send out maintenance for repairs on those old an cient stoves and refrigerators they call appliances. The vents are fallen apart. The dishwasher had to take down because mice were crawling in. There is mice throughout that building, no matter how clean you keep your apartment. If you complain Julie the manager will put you on a Her revenge list and you will get notices of your door that you are in violation of your lease because of bbq pits, things on your patio, ECT. even if you dont own or bbq pit. Its her word against yours. These apartments should not even be considered under housing or for any type of government assistance. They are just too run down. Dont even try to park your car or have friends or relatives visit. All cars will be towed away. I am pretty sure management is getting some kind of cut because it is a racket. If you are considering moving here be aware that you have been warned. If the rats dont get you the bed bugs will. I had to get out it was overwhelming, so now she sends me a bill for cleaning the bathtub 50 dollars, two hundred for cleaning the ceiling fans, over three thousand dollar bill and she has the nerve to send it to a creditor. I left the apartment cleaner than I rented it. I am now filing a complaint with Houston Apartment Association and the owners. Told you she has a revenge list.
