This is a quiet building with character of exposed brick walls. Ive enjoyed living here for its views as well as proximity to the river trails, northeast, north loop, and downtown. You hardly need a car as you can wa lk or bike just about anywhere.The maintenance and management have largely been responsive and helpful, which is a big plus, and the building is always clean and well kept.The only downside is that for the rent, there are relatively few amenities beyond indoor parking, if you can get a spot, some in unit washer/dryers, and a small workout room in the cremette building, which is nice. more ... hide ...

I am currently living here until August 31st. The Apartments are NICE and at the beginning everything seems perfect (No bugs, place seems quiet, ok amenities and your right under a liquor store) once you lived here after a while ( A lot of fights in the hallways, it can be nosey especially on the side of the liquor store, its a bit pricey to live here regardless of the so called affordable housing status) and near the end of your lease... maintenance is suddenly taking a long time to fix things or dont show at all. The key to my apartment stopped working after I gave my 2 months notice to vacate (Move out)... Then the mailbox lock is suddenly jammed im still not able to get my mail... its been a week... My NEW PLACE asked for a copy of my notice to vacate and for some odd reason its a hassle to get. Broadway Flats told me they faxed it to my new property manager who says other wise.. LONG STORY SHORT they will try to SCAM and find ways to keep your damage deposit. These apartments are nice but its not worth the hassle. If youre not into \"HOOD\" OR PROJECT style living.. I promise this will not be your forever home.! And this review is coming from someone whos hard-headed and have to experience things in order to believe it and is now currently paying the price for it ....literally. I hate it here. UPDATE: 8/31/20 Today is moving day and my mailbox is still broke.. i put in that request 7/28/20 and maintenance still havent been up to fix anything. This place has gone downhill over the last 5 years. I have been in the elevator with an obvious odor of urine that has lasted for weeks and not been cleaned up. Management has also severely reduced services for elderly r esidents which used to be performed by their maintenance staff. Biggest perk is that they provide a way to get Russian language television! more ... hide ...
