I wish I didnt have to give a star at all in order to rate them. They deserve 0 stars. I could go on all day about the problems Ive experienced that they refuse to take accountability for. It started instantly af ter I moved in. Had no hot water. Had to put a new water heater in. A month after I moved in, some neighborhood kids kicked in my back door for fun and took it off the hinges. Shortly after that, my shed was broken into and they didnt replace the handle for like 6 months. My toilet broke one night and water was everywhere. Took 24 hrs to get anyone to come look at it. She specifically told me it wasnt an emergency. Now, a neighborhood dog has attacked my son, leaving us with multiple hospital visits, and they refuse to take accountability for any of it. The property manager is partial and biased. She only follows the rules for certain ppl. Save yourself a lot of headaches and trouble, and dont move out here. Its the worst decision youll ever make, I promise that. After speaking to several residents close by me, Im not the only one who feels this way. Im apparently just not afraid to speak out. more ... hide ...

If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. My rent was supposed to go up $42 my second year here, but due to covid, they said they wouldnt raise my rent and I signed my lease for the same amount I paid last year. That was 3 mo nths ago. The first month I paid my rent, my online ledger was overcharged by $42. I called the main office and got no answer or response to the voicemail I left. (Typical for any time Ive reached out to the office) I finally had to go to the office and wait until I saw the property manager going to her car. She told me shes busy and cant drop everything just because she thinks I might call her. She did fix the ledger and I paid my rent. Last month (the second month in my new lease) I was overcharged again. I paid the amount I owed according to my lease and left a voicemail to fix it. I havent seen her on property to try to catch her in person. This month when I went online to pay my rent, the $42 overcharge from last month was forwarded and there was an additional overcharge of $42 for this month. I tired to pay the amount I should owe and the site will only accept payment if I pay the entire ledger balance and give them $84 that I dont owe them. Also, I had a storage unit that I signed and agreed to pay $25 a month on. I was continually charged $30. The property manager said $30 is the rate and she wrote in the wrong amount, but since the paper I signed in my lease said $25, she would credit my account ledger $60 for the overcharges for the year. I have reminded her of this several times and I have never seen the credit. I can never reach the property manager and she never returns my calls. When I call Herman & Kittle (the company that owns crosswinds) Im only given the option to leave a voicemail and I never get a return call. I live here because of the affordability for the area I live in. If I could afford somewhere else, theres no way I would have renewed my lease. more ... hide ...
