They will rob you for every penney you have if you do not clean it to their standards when you move out. Take your entire security deposit. Make sure you get an extensive guide on what they want cleaned and how t hey want it cleaned. Never have I ever heard of an apartment complex taking deposits for unlikely things. Ive cleaned apartments the same way when moving out and never had any issues...because they were clean. The entire apartment, room for room was cleaned when we moved out and they charged us for cleaning every room. Make sure you check every nook and cranny during your walk through when you move in and note every single little thing and have it repaired. Fair warning the maintenance man is creepy and doesnt repair things very well- Im not really sure he knows what he is doing. Had to have him come out several times to repair the same things that were beyond our control. They charge for replacing stove drip pans that were completely shiny and brand new looking before the walkthrough. The lady that runs the place is rarely there so dont expect anything from her if needed. Good luck if you can catch her the couple hours a day she is there. Very nit-picky. Also, dont plan on having friends over because they will accuse you of them living there and threaten eviction if they find out. Strict rules and regulations in this complex. If you would like to live freely and worry free, dont pick this complex and good luck if you do pick this place. more ... hide ...

PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. ROACHES ARE HORRIBLE. They came out to spray 4x within the last year and I am still seeing them. I lived out here 5 yrs ago and things have really changed since I moved back. They just let ever yone move here. They only have 2 maintenance men (which are really cool) to cover this entire community. Trash everywhere..owners dont clean up their pet feces. These apartments just look run down. I know rent here in GR is up there but I rather pay more and live comfortable then be scared to live in my own apartment because they are infested with roaches.I am a VERY CLEAN person. My place stays clean. But that doesnt matter if the people around me is nasty. The staff are super nice and will send the exterminator to come spray but whats the point if the residents dont keep their place clean??? Oakview needs to remodel these places ASAP. Only good thing is the rent is cheap and nice for someone who is just trying to find somewhere to stay until they can do better. I am not bashing Oakview...but just giving my honest opinion. I cant wait to purchase my Home and get out of here!! more ... hide ...

This company is trash, the management staff (Pam in the office and Christine the regional manager) is trash and isnt concerned about the safety and well being of their tenants. They dont uphold their end of the contracts . Please save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. more ... hide ...

Love our apartment. Everything is great about it except our land lady. Keeps threatening a lease violation because I have groceries I just bought sitting out and clothes on my couch Im still in the process of washing/ pu tting away.
