Very nice building - everything looked new and well maintained. Good security system at the front. Smelled nice in the hallways. Plenty of parking. Conveniently located near a Food Lion, drug store, and downtown. The com mon bathrooms were out of order. more ... hide ...

I just moved in two weeks ago. This is my first apartment. Seems like a decent neighborhood so far. However, the lady in the office and her husband (maintenance guy) are very rude. When I first moved in they were super s weet! Then I called to tell them a few things I need fixed/done. Theyre telling me I shouldnt have signed the lease if I wasnt happy with how the apartment is. Im not asking for much- to tighten my outlets, paint my air vents (theyre yellow from the previous tenant being a smoker) , check my oven for electrical problems(it shocked my cleaner when she came to clean my house)- btw absolutely disgusting when I moved in thats why I had to hire a cleaner. Maintenance guy had every excuse as to why it was the way it was. (Pee in toilet and hair all in the bathtub, windows/window sills/doors dirty, oven nasty , inside of cabinets were not clean) you could just tell the place was not cleaned. I snapped pictures for proof and still its my fault?... hmmm. The place reeks of smoke so I just asked if they could paint the walls for me to try to get the smell out- I thought if I cleaned the place well it would go away but I was wrong so this is why Im asking for it to be done now because its my last resort. But he said ill get to it when I get to it IM NOT EVEN LYING TVAT IS VERBATIM WHAT HE SAID! at this point Im APPALED by this man on the phone- speaking to a tenant like that. So Im thinking in my head well maybe he thinks Im just being rude maybe thats why he is talking to me like this... so I assure him Im not trying to be rude or a b**** about any of this. I just want it fixed. Im due in 4 weeks with a newborn baby and I want to bring him home in a home that doesnt smell like smoke he said a few more things blowing me off and said literally exact words Im going to need to go I have emergency things I need to deal with right now... Im sitting here thinking are you KIDDING ME!? so needless to say nothing will probably get done Ill provably have to hire someone to come out and paint for me.I will add it is just the two of them in the office and I believe theyre working at another complex as well and trying to do other things... but how theyre handling my situation is beyond not right and professional. If I wasnt having another baby and actually had the money to move- I would. Maybe they were both having a bad day. Im not sure. But I am very appaled and very upset with how Im being treated as a tenant. more ... hide ...
