I love my apartment because I was homeless prior to moving in so of course its better than sleeping in hotels and a car, but Ill tell you what: Took 5 months to get any of my maintenance requests completed and st ill waiting on several. I have no doorknob or handle on my back door which is a sliding door I keep locked with a rod. Every time I ask for a door handle I am told it was ordered. I have no light in my bathroom, have to use a lamp. No fire extinguisher in the building, since some kids from the neighborhood stole it and it was never replaced. (My son and I actually witnessed the 2 kids kicking the glass out the case to take the fire extinguisher and I had to call the fire department to stop the alarm). The pool didnt open the entire summer. My son got jumped while waiting for his school bus in the neighborhood about a month ago. So I now drive him to school and pick him up daily, which hurts me for work. Thank God Im self-employed so I could adjust my schedule. I have a bug problem they refuse to address. Despite requesting pest control at least 3 times, I finally got one spray a month ago in these last 7 months living here. Theres mold. And the icing on the cake is the property manager Ms. Gregory who is quite unpleasant to work with. When you complain to corporate it feels like the office staff retaliates, which is unethical. I am grateful to have shelter but its confusing to me that some pay only half as much as I pay for rent. As Im on the bottom floor neighbors and/or pets destroy my plants so I cant enjoy them on my porch. It doesnt feel safe here and it seems like the office staff resents you. Not a welcoming place. I feel like Im doing time while Im getting my ducks in a row to move. I am 7 months in. I held my tongue as long as I could. The highlight is a couple of decent neighbors. more ... hide ...

This place is such a fraud, rip off and scammed. They will say you have an apartment and then all of a sudden things came up at the last minute would told they just needed to do 3 spray for bedbugs in the apartment the last one was of the 26th of July still no call back about nothing so I called the property manager Mrs. Little tried to cover up for her but little do she knows until I told her I have all my documents and phone calls documents next step talking to my lawyer please be aware of the gates of summerville, yes we were approved but never got an apartment, yes thats right she was going to put us in another apartment but again more excuses or better yet lies after lives after lies, even scam people whose on North Charleston housing. I refuse to let this happen to someone who has a good heart be scammed by these people.... remember I have all my documents in order down to yall texts and calls plus evidence with the Charleston housing authorities more ... hide ...

DO NOT APPLY HERE . Their website says you can verify income by uploading your online banking OR uploading your paycheck stubs . I uploaded my pay stubs then got denied for income verification because they want me to onl y upload my online banking. Thats not what the application states. They did not contact my supervisor so HOW can I be denied for income verification. Now the only thing I was told the application fee is non refundable. Its a beautiful neighborhood, and the apts are beautiful on the inside (big, spacious, and gorgeous). Unfortunately, some of the residents drop a lot of trash in the breezeways and in the backyard of the buildings. Im no t sure whos responsibility it is to pick up this trash that is left there looking nasty, in the breezeways and backyard of the buildings. However, the front yards of the buildings are always emaculate. The office staff and maintenance team are friendly and professional. Also, I believe a 2nd trash compacter would be very beneficial to the community so that the trash wont run over onto the sidewalks, and look extremely unsightly. All in all, Im pleased with my decision to make this my home. The office staff is professional and friendly. Unfortunately, a lot of the residents have a ghetto mentality although the apartment complex is in the middle of a wealthy neighborhood. more ... hide ...

Privately owned and a part of several independent living solutions.Many are accessib le living arrangements within the local two state area. It is a property listed and managed within Walton Foundation and its residential independent living.Vincent Village units are one bedroom units usually averaging around 500 square feet as the other properties built and managed.Very few of their other properties have units with two bedrooms. As the adajacent property housing persons with disabilities has four of its twelve units that have two bedrooms. All of which are accessible disablity units.Vincent Village units currently have a waiting list with applications as the other properties built also maintain such lists.Properties are kept neat and clean. Lawns and outside structures are well maintained and in good repair as maintenance is also maintained throughout the properties by the same management and owner. more ... hide ...
