Okay so the apartments are really nice, but the office management not so much, I applied was approved, I paid my deposit. Its a tax credit property so they have too verify everything. No problem okay couple of days go by e I hear nothing. Im calling leaving voicemail nothing. When you finally get someone on the phone, they just tell lies. So Im waiting literally 3 and a half weeks I still hear nothing mind you I paid my deposit. So I finally get tired of waiting so I request my deposit back, so they call and tell me Im over the income limit. But they cashed my money order for deposit and telling me I gotta wait till its sent too me in mail. I called the corporate number waiting on response now. more ... hide ...

I really like living here. Betty is one of the nicest managers. The only problem I have is the rent. It increases every year. Seniors dont get increases in social security to match the increased rent. Im sta rting to look for more affordable housing. If the increases continue my rent will be $700 for a small one bedroom, one bath apartment. Excel PropertyManagement is not good for seniors.How much has changed since my first review. This place is for Section 8 only. If you are the type of person who has always lived in a clean home, dont come here. The recycle bin (only one allowed) hasnt been emptied for 6 weeks. The other box and paper bin isnt allowed because people do not understand the concept. I myself have taken trash and boxes and paper from the bin marked for glass, plastic and aluminum cans. People dont know how to or dont care to break down their boxes. I am so frustrated with the stained carpets that will never be clean because the padding and carpeting is so cheap. Everything here was done cheaply and it shows. I wish I had the money and fortitude to move. I had to find a part time job because the rent keeps going up. Im 69 years old and I had to go back to work to live in a LOW INCOME HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. Do yourself a favor, unless you are section 8 dont move here. more ... hide ...
